Default A flattering offer? (Not)

Freaking local local dealer sent me junk mail offering $12,400 for my roadster, depending on condition. Yeah, right. I'll sell a pristine, never-seen-winter, 37k, only one owner roadster in perfect condition for that. Douchebags.

I got something similar. Local dealer is offering $16,500 for my 06' Limited with less than 19k miles and in turn I buy a new Dodge, with a new inflated monthly payment at least twice what I'm paying now. Pass.

I was offered 5k from Carmax for my 04 Coupe with 45k. Literally laughed at them and stood up and walked out.

Interesting offers.
My Daughter's Boyfriend traded his 2005 Aero Blue Limited Roadster for a previously owned Lexus IS350 a couple of years ago at their local Lexus Dealer in Vegas.
He got an offer a couple of days ago from the Dealer to come in and test drive any new Lexus and get a $100.
He's been curious about the IS350 Convertible, so they went over and took one for a drive.
They said they'll be getting a $100 Credit card in the mail in about 4 weeks.
I guess Lexus Dealers Wooo their old customers a little differently.

I'm guessing it's the dealer you bought it from new? They probably think you're tired of driving it and ready for one of those fine new Fiats.

I got the same junk mail from my local dealer. They seemed very excited to offer me up to $10,500 for my 2005 roadster with 12,000 miles. This is the same car that causes their salesmen to literally RUN out of the showroom and drool over every time I happen to stop by. I was equally excited to walk their offer over to the paper shredder.

Same dealer who has the white one right now for $15K at the "winter" price?

Yup. I was told ' did you know your 06 Crossfire could be worth this much ?'
The princely sum was $13400 ...............only thing is, it was totalled in 07, and I haven't had it since then
Where on earth do these people get their info from, and does anyone ever fall for this crap ?????

We still, to this day, receive come ons from Bonham Chrysler. This is where we picked up an '03 PT Tangerine Dream Cruiser in '04 used. They're still trying to get us back down there, just for a "special price" on an oil change no less. Apparently no one notices that we live in another state, with a 3 hour drive, lol.

Carmax offered me $6,000 for my 2005 6-speed coupe 70,000 miles, while at the same time having worse off red coupe on the same lot for $13,500. I did manage to get some seat time behind the wheel of a Mazdaspeed6, but once again the both the sticker-price of the Mazda and the trade-in of the Crossfire left a bitter taste in my mouth.

I guess I'm lucky the dealer I purchased my car from nearly 7 years ago, was nine hours away from me, and now no longer exists.
It saves me from receiving "insulting" offers in the mail.

Those mailings are just marketing ploys to get you to the dealership. The numbers mean nothing. They're going to look at your car when you get there, and then make you really mad.
