People died in British riots this summer. Not from guns maybe but they're still dead.
76 people died in a small European nation with extremely heavy controls on gun ownership and posssesion.

If you want to talk politics, go elsewhere.

Guns exist for good reasons. In this case for duck hunting.

If you're talking to me Doc, no I have no ducks there but turkeys abound.

So do rabbits and big Squirrels.

Unfortunately, I cannot take my Crossie there. Hell I almost can't take my truck there sometimes. Too rugged.

My apologioes that you were offended.
I expected it was said in humor. My response was in kind. But,
Someone else made more of it than neccesary.

I suggest you don't toss 'em if you can't receive em.

As you suggested, lighten up. I'm fine.

BTW,,,,,I'm not German,,,,I'm American

Long guns and a passenger do not fit together in my roadster. Legal concealed carry makes us polite. gary

now that I like....."legal concealed carry" makes us "polite"....there you have it , gun control people...we are polite... But if transporting a long gun....I don't like the trunk, unless in a nice hard case...or a very good soft case...my I suggest going to the local police supply house and just getting a shotgun mount, electric trigger, get to it faster that way. We no longer use them, as most have gone to a carbine, or trunk lid mount...lol...

We were always cool friend. My bugger was with the other gentleman who tends to exhibit a different take on his American neighbor's fondness for firearms.

Doc, I believe this was about transporting a gun, not having it available for quick use.
Long guns are bad choices for self defense. In the trunk? Pistol or long gun,,,,,even for an LEO,,,,That's just transport.

It would seem to me that a Crossie is a bad choice to use for going hunting. Perhaps a bit of trap shooting. No different than putting a set of Golf Clubs in the back. Not exactly the best choice of vehicle for that chore either. But do able.

I've said it before and I'm sure I'll say it again.....

Ted Kennedy's car has killed more people than any one of my guns.
