Default The time draws near.

I spoke with the guys a Champion Chrysler yesterday and they were able to give me a VIN number for my new roadster. They also told me the car was in JB status in the computer and that it showed a ship date of 6/29. I know you guys want us to post part of the VIN or some other number once we get our cars. Please let me know what number I should post and I'll gladly display it. I hope to see my new beauty in another week or so. Can't wait :!: :!: :!:

The build number is the last 5 digits of your VIN#. It can be found at the lower left corner of the windshild, the drivers door jam or on your paperwork... as you said the dealer already has it, give them a call and get it. This being the 3rd, your car should be well on it's way. That grin on your face has to be getting bigger!!! :wink:8)

Thanks AZ. I already had the VIN from talking to the dealer yesterday, I was not sure if this was the number you guys are using on your signatures. Now I know . I am happy to say that I will be the proud owner of #35809. I am anxious to get started with modifications and have already decided to get the low dust brake pads and upsolute chip in the near future. I would also like to look at possible installing a XM ready head unit if I can find one that matches the silver console. Anyway, I have to get busy preparing the garage for my new addition. Thanks again for the info AZ.

Thanks bornfeld1. I have looked at you album on more than one occasion and admired your black beauty. I spent the last 4 hours cleaning, organizing and power washing my garage in prepartion for my cars arrival. My wife says Im acting like a mother preparing a nursury for a newborne. I told her I am preparing for a new baby  . I'll have everything I need. 100% cotton diapers (towels actually), lots of skin care products, (I heard Zanio is well tolerated by a newborne's skin) and a nice warm soft blanky to cover my litle girl while she sleeps. I guess a musical mobile and changing table would be a little to much . I'll be ready to pass out the cigars and take lots of photos on delivery day

#35809... wow, that's starting to get up there!!! I think the lowest on the forum is 169 or something. Looks as if right now your the highest.

Oh, I noticed your from Indianapolis... we're packing up my best friend and his wife this weekend. He's moving to his hometown of Linton, IN to be the pastor of one of the churches there. That's about an hour south of you.

Re an XM-ready head unit. I installed a Pioneer DEH-P9600MP and am very happy with it. There's also a Sony unit which matches the silver well. Check out the thread titled "Aftermarket Stereos." It's on page 3 of the Technical & Modifications forum.

Thanks Ron. I'll look into the pioneer and sony units. Dan I had to order a female because I figure once the car gets here I will loss all interest in the old lady and if i'm going to stare at something all the time it might as well be a lady.

Damn, I got busted ops: I had no idea the wife spent any time on this forum. She told me a few minutes ago that she hoped "our" new roadster, not my new roadster has a pu**y  Well I think you know what that means. Now I am going to have to spend the rest of the holiday weekend trying to make it up to her  Hey babe remember when you read this (and I know you will) that I was only being a typical macho jerk and I didn't mean any of it

I found out too that "my" black roadster is really "her" black roadster but I can tell everyone that is is"ours"
Funny how that works. I have yet to see another roadster on the road and I've had mine (whoops, ours) for about 5-6 weeks. I've been so busy with work that I've only managed to put about 650 miles on it and I think "she" has put about 450 of those on it.
I'm planning a road trip to Canton Ohio in about a month, anyuone in my path coming up I-75 I'd love to touch base with you!

:-) I've only let my girlfriend drive it back from the shops so far. She is on the insurance though so once I've broke the engine in and a bit more relaxed about it she will be driving it too. However she has already had two damages to her Ford KA this year so she won't be driving it unless I'm in the car with her!
