3rd brakelight on 2005 roadster
My third brakelight, HCMSL, is only working sporadically on the left side of the LED strip. The other side is working fine. I have noticed in earlier posts that other owners have had the same problem.
My local dealer has quoted me a price of $300+ for a replacement strip.
Could someone lead me in the right direction for a cheaper one ?
Or even better a fix for the problem that wouldn't involve replacing the whole strip.

I have the old lamp to take apart and check out. It is sealed/glued together really well and will be hard to open without destroying it. But I will give it a try when I get some time.

My left side also packed up a couple of weeks ago.I have managed to separate the lens by heating slighty in the oven and carefully scoring the join with a stanley knife. It took about 4 hours to separate but now it is done i will buy some led strips to go inside.
