Default I'm going in and I need a list

It's been 7 months since I first laid my eyes on a Crossfire and knew I wanted one and tonight I'm finally going order mine.

When I first joined the forum in March or so, I kept a list of "issues" people had with their cars and they were warning other new buyers to keep an eye out for the same issues. Well, I've lost my list. Since it is probably going to take a couple of weeks to get my car, I'm going to start going through the past few months of forum and start a new list so that I am prepared when it comes in. If any of you can think of a few things off the tops of your head please let me know. When I get a complete list I'll post it if you think it would be a good thing.

Now......my biggest decision to make within the next 10 hours is.......SSB or Areo Blue? Just when I am sure I want the SSB I watch the tivo'd Chrysler Drive that was on tv a while back in which they test drove the roadster and it was an Areo Blue and I think.....maybe I should get that!

ARGH! What a wonderful dilemma to be in. :?

I should get a 6sp to prevent my 16 year old daughter from sneaking it out, but since I have to drive through San Francisco so often, I'm going for the auto.

rabittroodle:

The only real issues on the car have been:

1. Problems with the 1st gear of manual transmissions. But this was on the early serial numbers.

2. Wind noise - there are two TSB's to address and correct this problem.

3. The rear hach may need an adjustment and the lock mechanism may need to be replaced if rattles.

4. They may have to check the top radiator hose to see if it is rubbing on the shroud. It is a very simple adjustment.

That is all I can think of. Take a quick look at the TSB section of the forum to see if I missed anything...

Now as to SSB or Bue - I have SSB and really love it. It stays clean looking even when it is dirty. But I REALLY like blue!!!!!

Have fun making the choice....

And Welcome!

Dan - thanks for the heads up. I already did my research on cost of insurance, tires, service costs.....it is scarey indeed. But I can't wait to feel the pain of it all!

jjsisabella - Thanks for YOUR list. It's a good start.....I am currently going through the TSB's I was just hoping to cheat a bit and just get you veterans to "feed" me with information. I'm lazy, what can I say?

As for the color. The SSB is gorgeous and grabbed me the first time I saw it. The salesman at that time was trying to smooze me and told me that it matched my eyes. At least he didn't follow up with matching the backends. HA! I also agree with you about how it would stay clean looking.

I've seen two Areo Blues in person and the one on tv....heck Dan has one in his photo album. It's such a deep, lucious color. I guess I'll know for sure when I sign the papers tonight.

Thanks for your inputs!

rabbitroddle, make sure the top operates correctly. One person had a problem with a microchip "where the top meets the windshield".

Thanks for requesting this list; mine should arrive in 2 or 3 weeks and I too will use this list to make sure these problems don't exist on my roadster.
