Default Heated seats

My drivers heated seat has failed but only on the backrest, the seat base section still works fine. My local Chrysler dealer is telling me its not fixable. The only option is a new seat at £1200.00!
Surely therse a fix. Anyone had any experience?
Thanks

Perform a search. There have been discussions about repair kits and taking the seat cover off to find either the broken or shorted wire. Good luck.

I have done this for my N/A and just did it on my SRT6. You get a repair kit for about 50 bucks and just take out the seat, cut here and there, glue here and there, put pieces back together and whoopsi daisy it is all done
First seat will take you approx 4 hrs minimum, 2nd takes 45 minutes. Trust me, I know as I have done it twice. (have also taken down a whole XF so I got myself some experience)

Ask any questions regarding how to get an hot ***.
