Default Tow alarm may be an issue

I just purchased a 2005 Roadster with 41,000 miles on it. No problems for the first three days because I didn't drive it so I could get the car registered. When I finally put the plate on I decided to check the car out closer and make sure I knew how to operate everything. That night the tow alarm kept going off. No reason for this to happen. Finally I managed to get it to stop going off by disabling it. Today I went to buy a few things for the car and I noticed an alarm sound going off while I was driving it. It only went off during acceleration from second gear to third. I had to pull over, turn the car off, remove the key, and lock and then unlock the car to get it to stop. After that it didn't go off. After I left the store the same thing happened again and I stopped the car again to make the alarm stop. Anyone ever had this issue. I don't know if it was the tow alarm or a car alarm going off. It wasn't very load.

It is the alarm, the tow alarm feature sets off the same alarm as does a forced entry etc.
The alarm probably needs replacing if you think it is not too loud, you could take it apart and replace the battery inside it. You may be slightly deaf so what is not loud to you may be deafening to another. If so your battery may be too old and weak.
