Well thanks everyone!

I followed the instructions posted on here and other then my fat belly weak eyes it went very well!


I took out spring and pin, just one thing the steering wheel still locks!


So what does the pin I took out actually lock?


Ps, I did this for preventive maintenance as suggested by a few of you thanks again!

 

I wish more people would take the warning early - it saves them from disaster (you DO NOT want to be drilling that pin out when it locks up).

You have removed (what I am told is) a redundant lock. But you did not remove the primary lock and when you pull the key out, the pin will jump out and lock the wheel.
