XM Radio is commercial free radio that's capture via satellite.
You need a special antenna and radio, ...and....you need to subscribe. Monthly fee.
Also Sirius radio is the competitor.
I believe the service is only in the USA. (at least for now)

Tony,

The excuse for a cup holder can be found by pressing down on the rectangular panel between the gear stick and the storage bin, next to the handbrake.

Don't use paper cups as the prongs will poke holes in the cup and you will have coffee in your console.

I think that I have read in previous posts in this forum that the English version doesn't have the cup holder in it.

I was looking at a standard Xfire roadster at the dealers and it did not have a cup holder, just a rectanguler hole in the console. My Limited however, does have the cup holder or you might say, what they call a cup holder.

Trust me you're not missing much. The cup holder is next to useless. Don't feel so sad about it.

Tony, get Simon for Upsolute. www.ccctech.co.uk. He will come to you and install the chip. It will give you 20 more ponies and 15 more ft/lb of torque. Guy does good work and lives down south. He travel up to scotland to do my car. I highly reccommend him.

Superchip will not do a xf. I even e-mail stating that it is the same ecu as the slk320 but, they refused.

I have the cupholder in my July 2004 sourced car. It's total crap. Have tried to rip it out, and can't even manage that.

i can't belive they don't have a cup holder in the roadster. i wonder why they would do that. what makes the roadster different from the coupe that they wouldn't put one in? the only thing i don't like about the cupholder is that it is right in the way of the shifter. do a search on this site for a cupholder mod, some people had made their own that work much better they say. good luck hope u love the car.

Unhappy Re: Where is the Cup Holder

Tony,

I believe the cup holder was removed on the UK versions as it was designed for the LHD market. Mine is a real pain as it has a tendency to take chunks out of my forearm; so if you don't have one you're not missing much.
