Yes no doubt: this is my windscreen
I also tried the Windblocker but with the same result.
The side-windows end just before my head and jus where my head is is the wind blows from the sides.
I am not extremely tall - 1.88 meter.
The seat has been put seat on the lowest stand.
So I wondered is there would be any piece of see-through plastic one could detache whether at the windows or at the roll bar
Interesting idea.
I suppose you could fab one up out of plexiglass ( perspex ) that would strap to the roll bars like mine, but extend past them and have a 90 degree curve up to the closed window position minus 1 or 2 CM or so.
You would of course have to remove it to put the top up.
I have made an appointment with a shop for August after the holidays. They will make a strip of polycarbonate of 30 x 70 cm: 30 cm along the side window and then bended to and behind the back of the headrest.
If anyone is still looking for a mesh windscreen, here's one for sale from an Alfa/Fiat supplier in Atlanta. A little pricey, over $300 w/shipping. Made in Germany.
In de meantime I did buy two sheets of polycarbonate (28 x 30 cm) plus 12 very strong and flat magnets. I cut the edges of the sheets round at the top
I place the sheets at the inner side at the end of the window (Top open of course) near the head of the seat: 3 magnets inside and 3 outside. And there we go: almost no wind
There is a company named Adamesh in the UK that in the past made mesh fabric windscreens for our Roadsters
Years ago they discontinued production but just recently were contacted by one of our Crossfire members and are now once again making these quality mesh fabric windscreens available for a limited time at a terrific price.
These are high quality mesh windscreens which provide superior wind buffeting protection in our Roadsters.
Another benefit of these windscreens is that there is not any glare or reflection from lights behind you and the mesh screen even acts as a filter to reduce the glare from lights following you at night.
The photos below are my Roadster with one of these Adamesh windscreens installed.
I have had mine for 2 years and highly recommend it !!!
Installation is simple as it attaches to our existing umbrella hooks with a custom bracket designed for the Crossfire.
It is simple to remove with the 2 ***** that secure it to the bracket.
So if you want to buy one for your Roadster the price will drop to £124 when you add it to your cart. £50 shipping to the USA
Or $159 and $64
