I'm thinking of getting the one button top lowering switch- is the installation user friendly or will I have to take it to a car shop to install ? ,... any comments are appreciated?

 

User friendly, should take about 1/2 to one hour.
( you don't really need to remove the console completely, just enough to get to the wires going to the top switch. )
Get you some heat shrink and good electrical rosin core solder, do not use twist terminals, that would be what my mamma used to call 'tacky'.
