German Windblockers for the Crossfire Roadster
I was watching the discussion and links for the somewhat rare German made windblockers for the Convertible. I emailed Chrom Design Tuning Zubehör MX-5 MX5 Mazda Miata
And Max Stein emailed me back that the blocker with postage to the U.S. is about $180.00 That sounds pretty good and I wonder if a group deal could be set up.
info@chromdesign.de Attn: Max Stein. I'm going outta country for 2 weeks and would love some folks to look into this deal for us.

Hey Randy . . . GOOD FIND! You need to get to this page to see the Chrysler Crossfire windscreen . . .

Looks just like the Adamesh windscreen and at a very fair price.

Hi Greg, I had a full plexiglass windblocker installed first. There were a couple of issues but the primary issue I experienced was that the reflection coming off it created an annoying distraction in the rear view mirror especially with the top up and especially at night. Also I just feel that the leather covered mesh windscreen presents more of a "factory look" and also is more like the type of windscreen you'd find in a high end sports car. Just a "poser" kind of thing . . .
Thanks Red Dog.. I can relate to the reflection issue. Guess just a matter of where you want to compromise, since the plexi does do a great job of blocking the wind. And we actually raise the windows here with screens to let air in the house.. LOL.
I have heard from many owners of the plexiglass that not only is the glare distracting, but the solid surface adds to wind turbulence in the cabin.
All I can say is.. with it and no pony tail.. I can see to drive now with the top down .. LOL
I also have a plexiglass windrestrictor - it looks good but does nothing for cabin turbulence, IMHO. Might be interested in a group buy of a mesh windscreen. The one I had in my Sebring convertible worked great.

I'm really not seeing the need for a group buy on these. As per information provided by RANDYRADIO in post #1, just send an e-mail to info@chromdesign.de Attn: Max Stein and place your order.

I had the plexiglass windscreen & removed it because it didn't solve or reduce wind buffeting. It wound up being more of a nuisance installed so it now resides in a corner of my garage.
The fact that Lexus, BMW and all the high-end sports car manufactures always use the mesh screen and not plexiglass as OEM windblocker was proof enough for me as to which one works better. And it looks OEM on the roadster too!

I found this thread with the help of forum member "harbor" and placed my order on the Chrom Design website this afternoon. €176.43 EUR which included €126.01 EUR for the screen and €50.42 EUR for shipping to my home in Kentucky. That translates to US$217.50 on my PayPal account. Thank you "harbor" and "randyradio".
Just ordered 178.95 euro shipped. I have been looking for this since I bought the roadster. I have the lexan but could not live with the reflection at night. Thanks everyone!
I'm glad Max Stein at Chromdesign is working up these orders. I emailed him a few days ago and expect I will hear from him on Monday and then I can place my order. I hope to see some photos of the final installations when you all get the screens.
