Rear light socket
Hi,
Does anyone know where I can buy a light socket for the rear lights, brakes. Chrysler no longer have parts for a 2015 Crossfire. My light bulb indicator stays on and as soon as I replace that bulb, it goes out.
Thanks,
Cheryl

Why can't you replace the bulb then?
The old socket will have a part number on it and probably the maker. What is wrong with the socket?
I have several times! It's the brake light that's not working. And Chrysler is saying that my 2005 Crossfire is obsolete. I have replaced several bulbs. So mechanics are telling me that it must be my socket.
What you are saying is the dash light goes out when a new bulb is inserted and then the bulb burns out and the dash light returns. How long before the bulb burns out?
Yeah that is what I am saying. I'll drive down the street and then all of a sudden the light indicator comes on and my left rear brake light is burned out. Whenever I apply the brakes. But the light is still there! But not the brake light. Does that make sense???? What does that sound like to you? Maybe wiring??? I don't know!

I'll ask the poster again what bulb are you replacing it with, part number and make?
Is the filament obviously burnt out, black inside the bulb or what?
e, maybe it is better tolerance, different brand. What I would do is switch them, and see if the same bulb, or the same side burns out. If the mount isn't solid, it could even be vibration killing the bulb. (I doubt it, but who knows)
I have a rear taillight wiring/socket unit for sale if you're still looking for one after the trouble shooting. Let me know, Chas
Thank you so much for all the replies but my 2005 Crossfire got totaled so now I have a 2004 Crossfire that is better than the 2005 Crossfire. It has the original wheels and everything works! But the BAS/ESP light comes on sometimes. Do I need to be concerned?
