Just sent this company an email to see if they'd consider a group buy discount.
Will report back with their response.
OK guys, Rebecca at BAS Int'l offered Crossfire tops for £400 with a group buy of 10 or more, plus shipping with no VAT applied to US orders.

PM me if you're a hand raiser. I'm in for 1 blue.

Their website lists two types of material, is this price for the fabric and not PVC?

Their website says their tops are either PVC or mohair. When you pause on the various colors for the Crossfire top they all say "mohair".

Any idea on how long it would take to remove the old top and refit the new ?
It needs 2 people right ?

Check with Iamfink2 (Pat). He did his by himself, but I'm not sure how long it took.

We have 4 on the BAS discounted top list as of today. I'll keep everybody posted as we get close to 10.

3-4 hours, and yes it does require 2 people, but only one needs to know what they are doing, the other can be just a helper.

You're #5 on the list.

Note to all - If it doesn't look like we'll hit 10 takers, I'll go back to BAS to see what kind of deal they'll give us with 5.

I just want to note to all the roadster owners, I spent some time shopping for a top and this is one helluva deal. Aside from window problems these cars are 9 to 12 years old so top replacement is not far down the road anyway. If we had 10+ people replacing tops in the approximate same time frame that would generate a lot of helpful advice.

Can you find out what shipping would be to let's say Los Angeles and New York? I would think anything in between would be in that range.

I agree with George, this appears to be a great deal. My window separated and I used the window weld, top other than that is in great shape. I could see storing this in the garage for a few years and having on hand when the window begins to separate again. I priced out convertible tops were around $800 (twill fast) $1400 (ultramaxx) + install + your old top (total about $2000).

How about we have a workshop/tech day at the Spring/Fall Dragon events and spend time helping each other install the new tops?

Just enter your shipping address in their website for the exact cost.
$125 to Michigan.

I believe that's 125£ = $158 USD. Can you see if they would consolidate shipping, multiple to same address?

I would be interested in one of these.

I actually work for UPS here in the Uk so could use my employee discount to ship them (will check on price) but approx £60 (ish) one advantage of that is the shipping is the same for 5kg or 65kg so one address in the us for multiple strapped together is one price. Dont forget I assume there is import duty to pay in the US?

Thanks D22 - You're #6 on the list. What color top do you want?

According to this, there's no duty.
