Don't forget the photos when it is done, a blue top has got to look great.

That's good to know. Thanks, harbor.

I purchased the maroon top for my black roadster. I've seen a few black 911's and Boxsters with red/burgandy/maroon tops and love the look. I'm hoping this combo works for my car!! Here a few pics I found on-line with this combo...

Sorry, not a fan. Beige would look much better, more European I think.

No tracking numbers - I just happened to be talking with Rebecca on Tuesday regarding another matter, and she advised mine was being shipped that day. Shipping resumes 1/3/2017.

Len/Dave - I think the maroon & black combo will look sharp.

Thanks, man! I appreciate that! The samples of the other cars are untouched and actual photos I found on-line. The maroon/black combo is definitely unusual and rare and not to everyone's taste. What sold me was a 2015 black Porsche Carrera S with a burgundy top I saw in Laguna Beach, California, last year. It was a striking combo and immediately made me a fan. We shall see how it turns out. Stay tuned...

Thanks, Dave. Actually, the tails were professionally painted to match the body color. I did the cut-outs using masking tape and had my body shop paint them. Came out quite well I think..

Yes, they do look great , well done. Not sure if i could get the masking on right myself.
I wish somebody like Laminex would produce a set of body color tail light masks like that , i reckon they would sell well.

I saw a black Merc with a dark red top and it looked awesome , thats why i chose the red top too.

Ps , i used to live in Mission Viejo/ Laguna Hills in the 80s-90s .
I loved visiting Laguna Beach ,beautiful place. I hope it hasnt changed.. too much!

I've obviously missed the boat, yet again. Haven't been on in a while. With members like me who needs a club, right?

Harbor, I sent a private message. Looking to see if there is a chance, a 2017 lucky moment chance, to get in on this buy. Since they appear to be still manufacturing, and shipments just resumed, maybe they have enough blue material left to make my top.

My back window fell out in June 2016, haven't driven my baby since. Thought about trying to re-glue it, but then I saw this sticky post for new tops...and I am excited. Who needs glue when you can buy blue?

So, either I get a good deal buying on the group list, or I end up paying full price and crying a bit, but this summer I'm driving again...and maybe I'll leave the top up a lot more frequently.

After receiving instructions from Harbor (Jim), I emailed BAS-International last night. To my happy delight I received a response first thing this morning (gotta love that 5 hour time difference). My order was accepted, and my new Blue Mohair hood is on order, and I received the Group Buy price, or a really good price at any rate.

The final US dollar cost will depend on exchange rates at billing, but my price is 400 pounds sterling, and carriage to Ohio is 75 pounds. Now to find a local shop to install. I've asked for a recommendation from BAS-International. Waiting on a response.

Can't believe I'll be the best dressed Crossfire in Dayton, OH in a few, hopefully few, weeks.

$578.21 is a GREAT price !!!!!
Drive it down here and I'll install it for you - no charge.
I have already done 3.
Takes about 5 -6 hours to do.
Your drive would be 8-9 hours each way ( I should know, I did 40 years with NCR )

Mark - Glad it worked out. With regard to the increased shipping cost, DHL increased their rates effective 1/1/17.
Your SSB with a blue top should look amazing, so be sure to post a pic when you and ala_xfire get it installed. Enjoy!

I just might have to take you up on that offer. We can share experiences with "the cash". I was just short of 28 (27 years, 10 months) when they abandoned Dayton for Atlanta area.

I'll get in touch when my hood arrives.

Hi George - happy new year. BTW, I bought two black mohair tops ($1100 for two)....received yesterday. They both look great. As you may remember I did the 3m window weld on the SSB limited. It's holding well for now but being the perfectionist, I'm not happy that I got some of the adhesive on the canvas edge near the glass. If/when it separates (I understand some folks it holds for 90 days to several years), I will replace with one on-hand. The SRT top is in very good condition and I'm not seeing any separation yet.

Would love to take you up on your offer at some future time and add to the Orphan Annie trust fund. Keep me posted if you replace for someone else in the future and I'll be happy to help you and them and possible do mine at the same time.

Happy New Year
