Default Rear bow trigger release

Anyone have a problem with the rear now release not working?
Once I release the top in the front and press the button for the top to go down, the windows go down but then it beeps. The panel in the back is seated properly but I don’t hear the clock from the rear bow/back window releasing.

If you do not hear the pump start up, it is NOT the rear bow latch - the latch is HYDRAULICALLY operated.

Your problem is to find out why the pump is not starting - the beep is to tell you that the TCM sees something that tells it not to start the pump items to start with, in descending order of likelihood:

Top open switch
Divider Switch
Loss of sync in the TCM (for this one, start engine, put top down and up three times, manually, including using a hex key to manually manipulate the latch - see my video for details)
Trunk fully closed switch
Trunk Electric Lock
Some sort of failure on the CAN bus

That is usually the switch located on the top above the passengers right ear. Sometimes if you manually move it up and down with the top unlatched it will make contact and work.

We are picking it up today after having the top completely replaced and were told it wouldnt even go down for them. Im going to look at it today and see if any of these reset functions can get it back in sync. thanks for the suggestions and ill let you know what i find.

Yea, resync it.

BUT I helped one guy who, when they replaced the top, they managed to knock a wire off one cylinder, or one sensor, can't remember now. That was enough to confuse the system, so look things over well. But my money would be on the switch over the passenger's head, or wiring to it.

In the frame over the passengers' head. Turn D handle and push top up and away. Now, look closly at the hinge over the passenger's head - you will see it.

Im at the meet in Eureka Springs - won't be on here much till Friday night.
