Default No start, battery 12 v, spoiler not up

No start, everything electric goes on, can hear fuel pump, no starter crank. Of course drove it out today and did not start on way back.

Recent rcm fix by TJ, no fan at 30 sec of key on.

No help from jumper.

Thanks for the help.

Have you had the battery tested? How old is it?

You should probably change it anyway cause it’s on borrowed time.

inexpensive part, easy to change. If you change it yourself, check the condition of your ground cable. It’s not related to your issue but if you’re under the car….

You can always try to wack the starter a few times with a wrench or hammer. Then give the key a turn. There have been times when that’s worked for me. (Really short term fix)

Brings back memories of my '63 VW Beetle when I was a teenager 50 years ago. I carried a lab coat with me so if I were on a date, I could slip it on, crawl under the car, and whack the starter with a short lug wrench. I wouldn't get dirty that way. It really must have impressed my date. But it got the starter going again on the lousy 6 volt system.....
