Looking for first CF
I am about to start shopping for a first Crossfire. I actually have never seen one in person so this should be interesting. The first one I am going to look at is this one, only 20 miles from home, not sure about manual trans but we will see, it's going to be a toy rather then a daily driver.

Considering Buying a Crossfire?
Helpful Info for those looking to purchase a Crossfire
The yellow roadsters have been going for a premium on bringatrailer. Looks like a decent price if in good running order. Keys are expensive deduct for only one key.
.
Have a competent mechanic familiar with the SLK-320 or (based on engine/version) 32-AMG, go over the car. The $ spent would be WELL WORTH IT. These cars are basically (drivetrain mostly) a MB SLK-320 or a 32-AMG (say about a 2004?). Mostly all the parts are MB part numbers. Do not go to Chrysler for parts, they 'rebox' then with a HUGE premium. Good luck!

2003 SLK320 forms the drivetrain.
When I was looking new in late 2004, every dealer (3) in the area had the pale yellow version in the showroom. I ordered my roadster the way I wanted it. Used ones still pop up pretty regularly at one local dealer - I think he gets them at auction, usually roadsters, and usually overpriced.

I just got my base roadster in April. It's also a manual and had 45,500 miles on it when I got it. I paid $11,500 for mine from a dealer in PA.
It took 2 hours to drive home to NJ. My smile was so big, if I tilted back my head would have opened up like a PEZ dispenser!
GraphiteGhost makes a good point. Having a Mercedes mechanic check any of those cars first is worth the money. I've been messing with cars since I was 17. Mine just felt right, so I bought it.
