DRB III - trying to troubleshoot convertible issue
Hi all. I feel like this would be very simple if I knew exactly what to look for... Convertible roof won't open or close or otherwise move. Rather than detail all of my tests - I can say that I have gotten as far as confirming the divider switches are not the issue by following this step-by-step guide: Convertible Top Sensors - CrossfireForum - The Chrysler Crossfire and SRT6 Resource
I am using the DRB III emulator to run some tests, but I really don't know what I am doing. Here are two screen shots that I took as I ran the tests. There are no Power top codes that I could find.
This surprised me. I think I need to learn how to use the tool better. Any suggestions on how to use the DRB III to pinpoint the exact issue with the top would be most welcome.
Re: DRB III - trying to troubleshoot convertible issue
Watch all the videos by Top Hydraulics to help with you problem
type "Top hydraulics chrysler crossfire convertible top problems" in youtube search field there are a lot of videos related to your problem. The forums will not allow me to post the link

Re: DRB III - trying to troubleshoot convertible issue
Thanks for the replies so far. The windows go down when I turn the handle, and the fluid level appears to be correct in the pump. I've watched all of the top hydraulics videos (at least once) but none of them include the use of the DRB III for troubleshooting purposes.
1. I tried the manual open/close the top 3 times to see if that resets things. That did not appear to work.
2. I am pretty sure the divider switches are fine as the system will beep/ stop beeping when I remove the divider from it's slot.
3. I've replaced the trunk lock mechanism, and this appears to work properly now
4. I suspect the bow lock mechanism but don't know if there is a specific test I can run to confirm this or rule it out. I'm hoping to find a way to test this in the DRB screen next time I hook it up.
What else am I missing?
Thanks!

There is a sensor above the passenger's right ear. Sometimes it becomes dirty, and you can activate it by manually moving it back and forth a few times. It is mounted on the top frame about in the middle.
Re: DRB III - trying to troubleshoot convertible issue
ZERACER - Does the DRB reporting it as closed mean it could be the problem? I would think that would suggest it's not the issue.
Still learning how to use that tool.
