Not sure what you mean by wrinkles, a picture would be helpful. My guess is that your top has been replaced with a not so good after market top. Both my original and replacement from Crossfire (H299) | Chrysler Hoods | Cabriolet Hoods (car-hood.co.uk) have never had wrinkles. Both tops were and are very tight fitting.
I have found that treatment with 303 protectant seems to help with wrinkles. Or so it seems - I may be full of it.
But I also second the idea of asking how tight it is. My new BAS top has not even been 303 treated as of yet (gotta get to that) and my wrinkles, once I put the top up, go away in a few minutes.
If it's an old top, and all stretched out, you are gonna have wrinkles. My old Graphite always had wrinkles.
Two quick comments:
1.) If you are going to use 303 Protectant be sure you get the product for fabric tops not vinyl and be careful applying it. I believe there are photos or a video to cover the rear glass and any other surface that could get the 303 on it.
2.) When I ordered my top from BAS I asked about using a protectant like 303 on it, the reply I got was that they were not familiar with 303 but they sold a protectant that I opted not to get as they also said the top fabric was already treated and should not need re-treating for a year or more based on exposure to the elements.
All the tops I have seen tend to have wrinkles on the side fabric in front of the rear window. It is caused by the top folding. I tend to put my top down in June and leave it down until October, so the wrinkles are visible. I store it top-up for the winter and they slightly go away. It's what convertibles do.

Has anyone tried using one of those steam gadgets people use to get wrinkles out of their clothes?
Thought about that, then thought again and decided not worth the risk of high heat steam near the back window....like my teeth, will fall out eventually, don't need to help it along.
