Looking at your signature, it would seem as if the Crossfire is slow compared to the others in [Dad's] garage. Next time, keep driving until you park at the nearest police station and see if he follows you in. The rest is obvious.

but seriously as i tell my son, grab your cell phone and call someone or act like you are talking to someone... make motions like you are describing the car and reading his lic plate... they will think you are calling the cops or at least reinforcements (reinforcements here in NY are friends that come flying over to meet you when you are in trouble).

here is another way to feel secure, install one of these rear mounted cameras... http://www.sportsimportsltd.com/revimocabavi.html

anyway... "little crossfire brother"... be good, be smart, be well!

PS... nice choice in wanting that FORD GT... i love the original GT40 the retro one is just as hot!!

If you don't mind me asking, what field of work does your dad do? No need to mention company or position just what sector...

That would have been your best opportunity to run 155mph to get the cops attention! Just tell the cops somebody is tailing you and trying to kidnap you!

So, I turned off on another road to be sure that they were following me. They made every turn I made in my car. So I go onto the interstate from this street in hopes that I can lose them. So, here I am going 80ish and this guy just won't leave me alone. So, I pull off on an exit and get back on the interstate towards my exit. I'm starting to panic a little bit. I get back on Main St. and head for my road. I turn off on the road I live on and head for my house (I know it was stupid but i didn't know what to do). So I'm driving down my road at about 40 and the guys is still right there. I really want this guy to leave me alone, so when I came to a turn, I floored that thing! I jumped up to 65 in no time. At first, he was just in surprise and he soon came to the speed I was at. I came to the next big turn and fish-tailed so much that I almost lost control. So, I live in a 12,000 sq. ft. house with a raught (however you spell that) iron fence with opt. elec. charge and a window barricading security system. If you don't know what i'm talking about, it's really similar to the one in the movie 'Hostage'. So I come to my driveway (thank god the gate's open) and make such a quick turn that I skid practically sideways about 6 ft. I race up my driveway pressing the gate remote. Just as it closes, the Mustang pulls in. I quickly jumped out of my car as the Mustang raced away to attempt to retrieve the license plate number but I couldn't. So now, I'm really cautious on the road because I have no idea who that guy was or what he wanted. I just thought i'd share this to tell you that it pays to have a powerful car during times like that. The Crossfire really is a great performance car. Comments anyone? Anyone have a similar story where you actually have to use that supercharger? Thanks for reading!
Well, the only thing I can say is that I'm racing the Crossfire with the National Auto Sports Association in TTD class and am pretty sure that I'm the only Crossfire racing professionally... I could sure use some sponsorship... So talk to dad and tell him it would be a good write-off for advertising his company... And I'll give you some driving tips at alluding persuers...

dude the guy just wanted to run you in a straight line... the SRT-6 is a 12.9 quarter mile car stock, that means there will be many many people wanting to see what it takes off like... next time just run em a bit to give em a taste and then give a thumbs up and be on your way... the way you drove he must of thought you wanted to take him in the corners. hahahaha
i used to have people do crap like this to me in the SRT-4 all the time and it does get tiresome... but hey, can't blame people for wanting to see the smoke show.

You said you almost spun out, did you have the ESP on (traction control)? I did the SRT track experience over the weekend and the instructors couldn't overstress that us ordinary folks really should keep it on in really aggressive driving. With it on it's almost impossible to spin out.

BTW, I have been in the music business for 30 years and now I just do commercials. Which side of the mic is Dad on?

Congrats on the getaway and be safe.
