Default SRT6 Engine Plaques

Just got the first shipment in. They look awesome. They are deeply etched and should have no problem with engine heat, but I will test anyway. If there is a downside, there are a pair of holes punched in the plates. It does not detract from the looks and will probably offer an area for the adhesive to go.

Here is a pic of the plate on the supercharger.

The following people told me they wanted to get one.

1. AF Col
2. maxxm
3. nolexfire
4. the toy
5. Monsterpost
6. Gingerbread Man
7. Coyote
8: Quarterlfecrisis
9. Jimboo
10. Jumpoutchuck
11. dtmenace

I only have 9 plates available in this batch. The second batch will not be available until sometime in Sept. It appears these plates are more difficult to make.

I am setting up a paypal account. Please let me know by email if you want to get one and your preferred method of payment.

Total cost including S&H is $20.50 (in the US).

Drop me a line at Karl.h.moreland@intel.com

Yes all have the holes...future ones won't. The holes don't bother me. Not sure on the JB weld. I am checking on the best product and will notify all.

Someone must have thought these plates were going to be mounted onto something and thought we might need a couple of holes to screw them down. If the drawing of what you requested didn't have holes, I'd be asking someone why they put them there.

I'll send you a pm for payment.

I will send an email for both the engine plate and the dash plaque to the address that you provided. And thanks again for doing this.

I was very clear on the holes...but the quality of the plates sort of make up for it. They don't actually detract from it.

SRT SIX,

What did you use to adhere the plate? Also, how long has it been in place? I know that you were going to heat cycle it a couple of times to make sure that it would hold up.

JB Weld worked perfectly good to 600 degrees...set up overnight and is permanent. Ran the puppy hard and fast, no discoloration at all.

Showed it to other car nut friends. All said "...it looks like it came that way from the factory..." The plate looks GOOD!

So far I only have confirmation from Maxxm (will wait to ship with your dash plaque) That leaves 8 left (I have ordered more, but they will not be in till Sept).

Yes, I would like a SRT6 Engine Plaque, should I just use my Paypal account and sent a payment to you for Sept. delivery?

I have 3 SRT plaques left in this batch. A number of people claimed they wanted one but have not replied.

I have another batch coming next month. If you would like one now please PM me with your email address and I will send you a PayPal invoice.

Here is a picture of the plaque with the cover in place. I modified (cut) the section that covered the supercharger. I am including the modified cover (lets you see the plaque), the cover on the SLK AMG, and the original cover.

As a non-SRT owner, I had always wondered if they had the same "mechanic signed" plates that the AMG's come with. I guess this answers that question.

I would be interested in one of these plates... I love my SRT6...

On another note... looking to put the Upsolute solution in mine too.
I've already been told I can look forward to between 25 to 30 more little horseies galloping under my hood.
That would put me over 350HP... and mine is bone stock now.

Thumbs up Re: SRT6 Engine Plaques

The plates look great, I am looking forward to putting one on my SRT6. By the way, please share your tricks for keeping your engine bay so clean, what products are you using? On another note, if you can really get 25-30 hp more with the Upsolution, I will be going up against this Viper that trashed in the 1/4 last friday night. He saw me beat someone earlier so he waited on the line for me, made them wave off three other cars ahead of me. I had such a bad start he still only smoked me by 1 second. So a few more HPs and better start and I will make this Viper eat some words.

Thanks,

Richard

Jimboo,

I guess this means you are happy with the plate.

Thanks for the glowing endorsement...too bad I'm not doing this for a living. LOL.

I do have a second batch coming in the end of next week.

I too received my plate and I love the quality! Top notch SRT SIX!

I have yet to install it as I'm still contemplating what to do with my stock SRT6 plastic engine cover... hmmm...

Cool Re: SRT6 Engine Plaques

Karl did well, but you need to follow his install instructions because I thought I had but I guess I screwed up some where along the way. It lasted about a week. I was out last Sat. near a private air port here in West Palm Beach and my son got a race going between his NSX, F360, BMW and my SRT6. The F360 could not take the heat left after about 10 minutes I was giving him to much competition in from of his new girl friend; he could drive the damn thing anyway. So the rest of us eat up the back road around this airport for about 30 minutes, really laying down the rubber, well the SRT6 was victorious. We all pull over roadside to talk shop and I opened my hood to cool it down then I noticed the plate Karl sent me had slid off it’s mount backwards four-five inches. The heat was to much or the JB Weld I used was not the right stuff, so I will need to try it again.

The version I used had the highest temp rating at 600 degrees. I have run the engine hard and it has been in place for over a month with no problem.

Did you "rough" the surface of both the supercharger and the bottom of the plate before you applied the JB Weld? Also did you let it sit for at least 15 hours to "cure"?

Great idea for placement. Glad you like it.

The second batch should be in the end of this week. There will be some available if anyone else is interested or if you want a second one.
