I hit 156 in mine on route ! in the Bay area. I also had my top down and the windows open. It ran like a charm. I was racing an Acura NSX at the time... Smoked him once we hit 120 but I think he just got a bit scared.

Only a 140 
not many free roads around my area and the law enforcement is extremely strict... But I plan on getting it to at least 165... (Tuned ECU).

Typical BMW. Plenty of hp but no friggin torque. You've got to keep the motors wound up tight to make speed.
The SRT has a MUCH wider power band.

When I had the '97 Prelude, I couldn't hardly drive to work and back without someone wanting to race. It ran pretty good, but it was no SRT6!

I beat a couple M3s and just like you said Feets, above 60 I walked away from them. The one I was referring to was on a roll at 70 and there was no comparison. I know he was ready because he beeped his horn and flashed his high beams, but I could have swore he was asleep. 
I still think they are awesome cars though.
And RPM I totally know what you mean about how everyone wants to race preludes for some reason. I had a Electron Blue 01 that I had the same problem with.
