Default srt track experience car?

I've been looking to purchase a used srt-6, and have seen a few posts about dealers selling them as executive driven. well i found a car i was interested in and e-mailed the dealer and asked them about it and the said it was an executive driven, and didn't think it was srt experience driven. How would i find out it they say they don't even know, or are they full of it and lying. The vin#1C3AN79N75X055612, it has 4,078 miles on it. If anyone could help me out i would appreciate it. Thanks.

I can't remember if there was an exact way to tell if it was a track car. However, you should look at the tires for excessive wear, brakes/rotors, and other items that would show some rough wear and tear.

I too bought an exec driven SRT6 w/ 3,450 miles on it. I paid for a 3rd party to go out and inspect it, take pictures, take it for a test drive, etc (since it was ~ 500 miles away).

Not sure if that helps or not.

What did the 3rd party cost you?

$99.95 for a 155 point inspection, test drive, and a lot of pictures. Had report same day as inspection. Good piece of mind for long distance purchases.

all of the track cars when I went had the 3m clear bra and a tinted front window decal that said srt. as for the tires they changed them for every "class" that went because at the end of the session they had cords showing through. hope this helps.

While my service manager was talking to me about the SRTTE last fall he mentioned that he was a member of Chargerforums.com. Out of curiosity I looked at the site and saw a post much like yours. It seems Chargerforums has (or at least had) a member who was able to determine by VIN if a vehicle was used in the SRTTE.

Kind of a long shot but you may want to post your question on Chargerforums. The site members like the Crossfire so you shouldn't have any problems getting help.
