supercharger
The IHI supercharger used on SLK32/SRT-6 vehicles is belt-driven with an electro-magnetic clutch. And yes, all superchargers are belt-driven through the vehicle's belt system. Turbochargers are the ones driven by the pressure of exhaust gases.

Oh jeez, those things again. It seems like every car out there has had some run in with them. I still consider them hogwash, as I highly doubt those little electric fans could possibly come even close to providing a single CFM to an engine. More power to the owner of them though, figuratively and literally.

The improvement is ok I guess, my 1/4 mile run was better. The improvement numbers are on a thread some where. The super e-RAM did not dyno well because the person doing the run gradually accelerated and gunned hard for 2 sec at the end and stopped at 5,105 RPM. Which is the wrong way to dyno it, because the super e-Ram only works when you push the gas pedal all the way in. So it only worked for 2 sec or so resulting in a disappointing 5 HP to the wheel. But you see when I run the ¼ mile I push the gas pedal all the way in during the whole run, giving it a lot better results. Don’t know what else to say, except that I like it a million times better than only the stock RAM pipes.
