Default Quality of the Silver Dash Paint

Hello,

I owned a 2004 Crossfire and upgraded to a 2005 SRT Roadster. The silver paint used for the dash seems to be of lesser quality than that on the 2004. The 2004 appears to have a clear coat on it while the 2005 Roadster seems to be just silver. Can anyone comment on this? Is this accurate? Did the paint change from 2004 to 2005?

~ yes the paint did change b/t the two years... in '04 the silver trim had a high gloss clearcoat... in '05 and on... the trim changed to a flat dull silver finish.
