Thanks.

Thanks.

The 129 (2006) and the 427 (total) numbers you talk about: are ALL of these SRT-6's only? Or does it include other Crossfires too?

All Crossfires, coupe/roadster/srt.

From what I understand there were thousands of Crossfires of all sorts sitting at the ports over the past year. Chrysler is now dumping them thus causing the huge price drop on all used crossfires with these new crossfires being sold so cheap.

What gets me is that I have seen a few articles out there that say Chrysler is bringing back the Crossfire for 2008 due to the new demand for these cars--come on now, anyone would buy a car that is half price, shoot I did!!

I have been following SRT pricing the past 5 weeks. The 'new' ones are sold at closed auctions to Chrysler dealers (only) and they then go onto Autotrader.com - search for Crossfire SRT any distance (nationwide) and about 110 of these SRT will come up.

Some dealers are clinging onto prices around $27k (or more) but the ones that actually SELL go between $24k and $26k max. I just bought one from a dealer here in CA for $24k (with NAV) but had offers on two accepted in Illinois for $23,500.

With dealers buying them at $21k they probably won't drop much below $23k - unless Chrysler still has a ton more of them of course - there are more cars than buyers for sure...

Hi there, this has been a great thread for me because I am looking into the roadster, and don't want to pay too much. A local dealer is offering one for $33K, with about 30 miles on it. Also I see one on EBAY with a buy it now for $34K. So I guess I know what the ask is, but trying to figure out what the bid should be. Could anyone decode the listing above, I get the date, the location of the auction, the price, the mileage, but what is AVG or Below, I get the color, what is the 6G, what is the A, and what is the YES? Also, will more be coming to auction, or is this the end of the trail? Thanks for the great assistance!

Hi Gabrielle,
You should be able to get one under $30,000 with less than 100 Miles & under $27,500 with under 10,000 miles. I just bought a SSB SRT6 Roadster w/ 7,100 miles for $25,500 w/ Nav Perfect 2 years left on warranty. Also had a Deal on an Aero Blue SRT6 Roadster w/ 10 Miles for $25,999, but had to have SSB. Keep doing your homework, it will pay off.
It appears there are No More SRT6 Roadsters coming from Chrysler Auctions, only a few more Coupes. You will have to move fast & smart before the below 100 miles ones are all gone, if that's what you have to have?
I suspect the above Deals you noted will take at least $1,000 - 2,000 less, give them a try, if that is low enough for you, time is getting short for those last few "New" SRT6 Roadsters.
What Color are you looking for?

I've got to smile about the auction lists. The reduction cars have been gone for over a month now. The prices on Exec. Lease turn ins are now growing because of the lower mile Reduction cars aren't there. Remember the numbers guys, 2,000 coupes, 1,000 roadsters. I know I'm a dealer, but I'm not in a big town, and we have over 1,000 cars in our inventory. For us to do this and be as successful as we have been (opened in 1962) is inventory turnover. I'm not saying there wasn't a good profit back in May, but my Reduction coupes are now Certified and selling at $25,999, we were getting $27,999 not certified. Roadsters have been gone, and used ones are still doing very well. If you know what you want, and its a fair price, buy it. If you hold out, you may lose out. Just saying.

I thought that 2005 was the last production year for the SRT6 here in the U.S., 2006 SRT's are available only in Canada and that would be the end of production for the all SRT6's.

There are still 92 of them on Autotrader with the number dropping by about 10 per week. You may not be able to buy them for $21k at auction, but there are still plenty of them available - many more of them for sale than there are buyers...

You can get a NEW SRT for $24k to $25k with no problem - like I did last week ($24k with 190 miles on it). The best deal on Autotrader right now is in Illinois, asking $22,988 (219 miles on it, driven from auction site to Bob Ridings):

This thread has also been helpful for me.

Where are you all getting this data?

As of August, are there any more in the auction pipeline?

I'm looking to buy an SRT 6 coupe, would prefer a 'new' one...and my friend wants an SRT Roadster.

Any help is appreciated.

Go to Autotrader.com, select 'Find Your Car', enter Chrysler Crossfire, ANY distance (this will show them nationwide) from your ZIP. At the bottom click on the 'View more search criteria' link and enter SRT in the 'keyword' box. Then sort 'from low to high'. This will bring up ALL of the SRT cars (coupe and roadster) on sale through Autotrader nationwide. Over 90 coupes. Skip to page 4 to find the beginning of the list (the lowest priced ones) because the first 3 pages are those where the seller has paid extra to get them listed at the beginning.

Perhaps (like me), if you have had a chance to see/driver one locally and have decided you want to buy one, then do not need to actually see or touch a new car before buying it. So it doesn't matter whether the one you buy is in Miami, Dallas or Phoenix. $900 will cover shipping and insurance pretty much coast to coast.

Good luck!

Whipy,

I've found several this way...

Unfortunately, none of them are the 'under 100 miles - new' vehicles, all are 8k miles or so in my area.

The nearest one is about 300 miles away, which isn't bad.

However, I was hoping to find the auction info so I could use it as ammo when I go into the dealership. It is helpful to know what they have in the vehicle. Obviously we want to pay as little as possible...but I would rather make a $23.9K offer to a dealer who paid $21 as opposed to a dealer who paid $23. Then I know I am getting a good car at a good price, and they are still making a buck.

Thanks,
SQ

Don't know about the auctions, but Bob Ridings has 2 NEW ones available on Autotrader. Go to:

http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...=&cardist=1614

College Auto Sales also has 3 NEW ones at $23,900...

Around me the lowest the dealer would go on a new SRT-6 he had on the lot was $30k and it was a coupe.

Seeing some of the prices for new ones out of state makes me feel like I overpaid. Either way though, I still got a low mileage, great color SRT-6. Next time I guess I'll take a road trip!

Plus I doubt the dealer's would have given me much on my trade if I found a new SRT-6 for cheap.
