Default Drove my birthday present home yesterday

I kept looking through all of the inventory reduction cars but wanted one within driving distance, since my wife didn't want me having 2 cars and I needed to trade to get one quickly.

Drove my '99 BMW M3 convertible about 3 hours to the west coast of Florida, drove home with the SRT-6.

Bought a black coupe with 230 miles, dealer was willing to deal on my trade so the 3 hour drive was worth it - paid a couple thousand more than others here but got that amount back and then some in trade value, so net it was a better deal (saved more on sales tax).

Love it so far!

Congrats and welcome.
What do you think of the power of the SRT6 compared to your M3?

Congrats to ya! I'm getting ready to do the same although my drive will be about 12 hours longer.

Default E36 M3 vs SRT-6

2 very different cars - the power of the M3 was tempered by the fact that it was auto tranny and convertible, but it was a great handling car (if you disregard the fact my suspension was worn out). I would describe the M3 as fun but the SRT-6 as a little more purposeful in acceleration and handling (to put it mildly).

And I don't regret my decision at all - I love the power this car has, just can't wait for 1,000 miles so I can completely unleash it!
