New SRT-6
Hi all - just traded my 2004 Red Coupe (7K Miles) for "New" (98 miles at Auction - 403 by the time it was driven back to my dealer) 2005 Black SRT 6 (Pic Below). Great car - much different than my 6 spd Coupe.

- A little off topic but when you go from the black coupe photo in the first post to the white coupe in the next, you can really see the effect of lowering the car. very immediate and very bad- I want that now.
I've noticed more (somewhat un-important) differences in the SRT and my 2004 that may (or may not) have been overlooked.
1. My 2004 had drain holes drilled in the exhaust tips to allow water to drain - which it did quite well - SRT does not.
2. SRT 6 exhaust tips are painted black on the inside and the 2004 was silver/aluminum on the inside (hope that makes sense).
3. Leather on the steering wheel in the SRT seems of much better quality - softer and "richer" feeling??
4. Door trim is different - different texture and maybe color scheme???
5. SRT wheels are MUCH harder to clean.
6. Radio display is different, more LCD like in the SRT, probably a fix to the "wash out" of my 2004 (couldn't see it in bright sunlight - I know, a TSB somewhere).
Thats about it...exhaust tone is much deeper - but so is the whole powertrain (pretty obvious) and all the other known differences.

I'm glad you made the comment about the exhaust because I kept wondering what everyone was talking about with regard to cleaning it and making it shiny again. I just thought, well the damn thing is black anyway, how are you making it shine. Now I know that the non-SRT Crossfires' exhausts are chrome. At any event, it appears there is a small chip in the black paint on mine, and it looks to be "shiny" underneath. Of course I doubt it's chrome underneath because I don't know how the paint would adhere to it, but I would prefer chrome exhaust.
