Default Just purchased

I just purchased a used SRT-6 coupe from a Chrysler dealer on Long Island, New York. The car has 15,000 miles and the price was $22,000. The car is awesome and your forum is great. I would like to know if this was a good deal.

Thanks,
HD3792.

I thinks its a good deal. Its worth much more than what you paid for it. The only better deals I have seen around are a couple of people bough new SRT6's (<100 miles) for about 24.5k.

Anyways, welcome and enjoy your new ride.

If it's in good shape with a decent remaining warranty - I think its a good deal. If the warranty is about up - purchase an extended warranty.

Enjoy your new ride!

The car is immaculate, and I purchased a six year / 70,000 mile warranty from Chrysler. I traded in a base model '05 300. I wanted a high performance car for a good price and I'm amazed how well it performs having previously owned several muscle cars. I sat in a brand new '05 SRT-6 back when I was buying my 300 but couldn't afford the $48,000 price tag. I guess like my wife said, good things come to those who wait.

IMO 22K is a good deal for an SRT, specially if it included the 7/70 warranty. Anyway congrats and welcome to the forum.

I got mine last week with 14,300 miles and the Chrysler Certified 8 year/80,000 mile warranty for $21,000 plus taxes and fees. Of course for that price it wasn't perfect. Three of the four wheels have been curbed.

Wow! That is an excellent price. I paid around $22k for a used '05 Limited Coupe with 17k miles, and that was from the Chrysler Employee lot!

Just purchased an '05 SRT-6 Coupe with 10,300 miles on it with the 8 yr/80,000 mile warranty for $23,900. Not a bad deal for an almost new car that used to cost 50k brand new. I wanted this car since it came out. I traded an '05 Infiniti G35 Coupe 6MT with 13k miles on it. Some say I'm crazy, but I think anyone who doesn't appreciate the XFire for what it is misinformed. This is an amazing car hands down. The quality is on par, actually better in some areas than that of the g35. The G35 is stunning, but it bores me compared to this car.

You did well on a great car. There is the school of thought that a car sitting for a couple years (i.e. no mileage) is abuse (can you say "Stabil?"). These cars probably survive that just fine though.

Congrats. I just got mine this week too! Love it. Took me 9 months to find one I just had to have.

Very Well said, almost any car is Boring after a Real Ride in an SRT6!

Bill (Not bored anymore!)

Congrats! Where did you get yours from? I've been watching all the "New"/Used SRT6 for several months & just got mine 2 weeks ago, in Florida.

Congrats! I was looking at a Sapphire Silver Coupe that was stunning but it had a "first refusal" buyer ahead of me and he took it when I said I wanted it if he didn't. LOL. Dealer located me Chrysler Corporate fleet car out of Atlanta and brought it up to SC. I'm glad I didn't get the coupe now. I think roadster is the way to go with these cars. It's been 40 years since I had a roadster ('64 327 365 HP Corvette). Back to the future (Old age crazy?)...

Did you go down to FL and pick it up yourself? I've seen a few on eBay in FL (Hobe Sound dealer). Was that your source?

Enjoy that ride. I found a 2005 Road and Track magazine that had the listings of all the latest cars and their performance specs. They had the roadster SRT-6 listed and it was basically identical performance specs to the C6 Corvette convertible 400 HP. Not bad.

By the way, is there supposed to be anything that comes with the car in the "hole" that is aprox. 3"X12"X8" deep in the floor of the trunk on the right side? Mine is empty and the dealer has no clue. We think it's storage, but please let me know for sure. Can't find anything in the owner's manual (yet) that refers to that hole. Thanks.

Yes the hole on the right side of trunk is extra storage don't we all feel special to have that extra room...
I did read in the navigation manual that the stereo could be hooked up to a 6 disc cd cartridge player, I'm just guessing but that may have been where they would put it.

Thanks for the info. I can quit worrying about that and I"ll tell the dealer so if it comes up again with another customer he'll know for sure. He asked around the dealership and no one could tell him for sure. They had just sold a coupe last week and it didn't come up then I guess.

Nice choice of color and body style on your SRT-6.
