Newfound Information
I flashed through the topics and didn't see any mention about the SRT Track Experience sponsored by Street, Racing and Technology Folks.
As you probably know by now I jumped over the fence, leaving my Crossfire behind, and am now playing in the street with the BIG DOGS...
I bought a SRT8 Charger with all the bells and whistles. Red, of course (see at my signature)
BUT...the reason for this thread is that I have found out that different places across the USA there are SRT Special Events.
The attached link will explain what's happening.
It seems that Chrysler has INCLUDED the price of attendance ($500) to one of these events in the purchase price of a SRT Vehicle.
You get to drive all SRT Vehicles on a slalom course, drifting, and road course!!
Yes, even the VIPER!!!
Anyway check your maronie sticker (the big one that tells all about your ride) and at the bottom of the Standard Equipment section see if it says "SRT Track Experience"!!!
If it does, get signed up on this site for a "ONCE IN A LIFETIME" opportunity.
I'm signed up for the 15th of next month in PA.
Here are ten things you may not have known about the SRT Track Experience of a lifetime:
The SRT Track Experience is run by the Richard Petty Driving Experience.
This full-day driving event puts you in the driver's seat of the entire SRT lineup.
A limit of 20 participants per group guarantees maximum seat time.
Each group will be assigned a lead instructor for the entire day.
Four driving modules last from one to one and a half hours in length.
Each driving module is designed to improve on a range of different driving skills.
Several modules are timed to increase competitiveness.
Teamwork is a key aspect to succeeding in certain modules.
Every event ends with an SRT-style grand finale: Hot Laps.
Guests are invited to ride shotgun with a professional driver around the road course to experience what SRT is truly capable of.

PS: If everyone already knows...then consider this a reminder!!

Red, its only free if the date of manufacture of your car is within 2 years. past that you have to pay $500 to enroll. I think the website asks for credit card info too. But it probably is worth the $500.
Not new info. Chrysler sends me about three pieces of mail a month in relation to SRT. I get the magazine, and I've done the Track experience twice. If you bought your car new, then you should be getting these mailings that tell you all about it.
Hello Red,
My nephew bought a Chrysler SRT8 in 2005 and was entitled to a free day at the track. We live in Illinois and he attended the track experience up in Wisconsin. He said he had the time of his life and got to drive several high performance cars over 100 mph
out on the track. It sounds like you have a good time coming your way. I have attached a photo of his SRT8.

I can't wait to "Git 'er Done"!!
I was first made aware of this SRT Track Experience from the model standing next to the Charger SRT8 (up on an elevated turntable). She mentioned that not only are new SRT buyers entitled to this event at no additional cost, but that the models all got to do so that they could talk to auto show visitors about it!!
And you guys thought those auto show models were just there for looks!!
