So far E-Bay looks like the cheapest place to get one, (two different model's) the SS and the RR. The SS is the cheapest, $199 on most web. site's $299 for the RR. You can get an SS delivered off E-Bay for around $185, or I'm looking at an RR a guy's got up NIB never been used, starting bid $120. I'm going to see if I can get it for cheap, if not I'll just go a head and buy a new SS model.

Wasn't me!
And, to answer your previous question about which one is good and where to buy - I can't help ya there as I've never purchased one. I just know several of the guys on my Mustang forums use them for somewhat accurate baseline numbers, and then numbers after modifications. It's not a dyno, but it is relatively close, and much more convenient.
They have all sorts of features - which I'm sure you've been reading about.
Ebay would be my first stop also!

I done an ask a seller question on an RR model this morning, they come with the software and cable's to connect up to your PC so a guy could post up results of his run's. The RR is around $40 to $60 more than the SS, witch would probably be worth it. I should have e-mailed the guy with the one that ended early yesterday, I probably would have saved myself around $100 or so.
Holy hell...180mph!
Dunno if i missed this thread or what but heres a bump for what these cars are capable of for anyone else new to the forum.
I guess ill go ahead and add my contribution. I hit 158pmh the other day. Not that im condoning any one else to do any top end pulls.
Time for some mods!

Always try to get to a 'closed' track or a known place to do these kinds of speeds (old air strips, etc.)
That being said I've only pulled 140 once and that was on a long straight slight down grade with about 10 mile visibility and no off ramps for 20 miles.
I felt I had to pace the SL55 that blew past me...

At least you have country roads, here in AZ they just use the freeway. Check this local guy out with one of his many cars. He even has a bugatti veyron on order for Jun. 08. He has to be a speed junkie, like most of us. You can hear him say he's doing 170 on a turn. It's was all over the news, not sure if he was even arrested. He own's **** site called ftvgirls. So I'm sure the he's pretty lawyered up.

are you sure you can hit 180mph in the srt6? not saying it doesn't have the Horsepower to do it, but wouldn't you hit the rev limiter in 5th gear long before you make 180mph?
I will have to look at the gear ratios on the auto and final drive ratio, assuming you bumped your rev limiter to 7000rpm. I'll let you know what top speed is really limited too. later!

Steve,
We live in Ohio but have a place on a lake in NE Indiana near Angola. Can't imagine going that fast anywhere near there because of the hills and curves. What part of Indiana are you from? And No, I,m not a cop looking for your "hill".

You still own the record Steve.
I took my SRT to stretch of road out in the desert by Mojave airport. A nice flat 4 mile road.
There is a big bicycle race going on down by the coast (Amgen tour of California - (The Company I work for sponsers the #2 team in the world -- "Team CSC")
Anyway - I knew that the race would take almost all the available Highway Patrol Officers to run this huge race thru the area so I figured it's a good day for a high speed run if I went out to the desert.
Conditions: Flat, two lane road - blacktop - in excellent condition - (no place for a CHP to hide)
I dialed Mohave Airport AWOS prior to the run -
Temp: 10.2 Deg C - - 50.4 deg F
Dew Point: 0.3 Deg C - - 32.5 deg F
Relative Humidity: 53%
Skies: OVC 080
Altimeter: 30.04 in mercury
Corrected elevation 2,358 feet ASL
Run one = 165MPH
Run two = 170MPH
It felt like the SRT could do more but I needed time to reach top speed and road was running out. But at least now I know that SpeedInnovation raised my speed limiter.
I forgot my camera at home (about a 1 1/2 drive) but didn't think I could take pictures at that speed - guess what - this car is rock solid and I could have steered the car with one hand and snapped a pictures with the other - next time I promise to remember the camera and perhaps some spotters with a camcorder....

the impact. Not even sure if you'd have a chance to see the deer and get
your adrenaline pumping before impact. I'm pretty sure it would be an
immediate lights out for both you and the Deer. So, be careful out there,
and go hunting regularly to thin out the Deer population.
Coyote (smacking my lips at the thought of tasty venison).

Deer are the one thing that really scare me at high speed. I was coming down M66 (middle of no where, north of Grand Rapids, east of Muskegon, west of Midland) doing 95-100 in my roadster at dusk. Coming around a long curve I saw eyeball reflections and then zipped past 3-4 deer on the side of the road. Balance of the 80 mile trip home was at 55-60.
