What's your thought... sorted by weight /( hp+torque)
Xfire SRT-6 at the bottom right.
Edit: added more cars. Resort on weight /( hp+torque)

Nice menu. I'll take a TC V-12, please! As you can see, turbochargers are more advantageous than superchargers. They are less problematic and most manufactures are going to TC's over SC's. You can get a tremendous amount of torque out of the V-12 compared to the V-8. I do love that 5.5L SC engine in the E55 as well.
If I'm reading that right the SRT-6 is near the bottom of the list as well, performance-wise. That ain't good.
What's amazing is that a car as large as the Ferrari F430 can weigh so little.

I'm wondering why the same engine used in the SLK 32 AMG and the C32 AMG have higher HP and TQ ratings than the SRT version. There are even differences between the 2 AMG cars. What gives? Did they de-tune it for our car or are they not telling the whole truth about our HP and TQ?

Renntech said in an email (on here somewhere) that the cams are different between the SRT6 and the C32/SLK32 engines. To my knowledge, no one has verified that.
IMO, the engines are all exactly the same. Exhausts are different though (which we know).

(but only if you used the "inventory sale" price and not sticker price).
I doubt you could pick up any of the other cars new for $25.6K

would be more to what these cars are capable of on the track/strip is
the curb weight/hp. With a 9.xx, the SRT-6 is pretty much in the middle
of the pack. Remember, a heavier car, even though it has more horse
power, may come out the looser to a lighter car with less horsepower.
It all depends on the ratios.
Coyote
Pretty good power to weight ratio. That's always good. It's actually better than that, since we have pretty much dispelled the 330 HP rating as BS. Figuring the REAL number is 349...
Here's more charts sorted by curb weight / (HP+Torque). Remember, torque is important,
AMG and competition. The SRT-6 is not in the doldrums

Where did they get the information that the base price of an SRT-6 is $26,000? Sure makes you wonder what other information may be inaccurate in the chart.
Great info, I have been all over the net piecing this together. Nice to have it all in one place. Is this something you could email? I am getting ready to start an engine swap on my Crossfire.

The chart is meant as fun, reality.
If you take the power to weight ratio and then factor in the cost (not sure what that formula would look like) to get the bang for your buck ratio, I bet the SRT-6 is a clear winner at $26,000.
