If possible, I'll be glad to open it up and show you what it is constructed of. But, I do not yet have it in hand so I'm not sure if I can crack it open safely.

You are over my head there...as I know very little about the 'small' parts of electrical circuits. While I can wire up a simple light, switch, etc...when you get into the micro scale it is all foreign to me.

Do they make them for mustangs? If so, they'd probably sell like hot cakes...just last weekend alone I spoke with 6 guys who were complaining about their drive by wire. From what they said, the ONLY way to help it is with a Diablo tuner or an ECU tune by a third party. I spoke of a sprint booster or some type of inline chip and they said they had never heard of such a thing for a stang.

I'm really not sure if it is an MB thing or not. The 'MB thing' I was referring to was the fact that I wouldn't be surprised if MB did 10 things differently just because they do it with all of the other parts of their car.

I've had some steaks that didn't sizzle...as well as a lot of sizzle with crappy steak, so we'll see which way this goes.

It is pretty simple to take it off. I'm not concerned with this. I guess if the thing caused a car fire, I'd be concerned...

No idea...but, I thought you said the last one was "one more thing"?

It really seems like you wont believe it until you try it for yourself, which is typically how I am. If I receive it, and like the results - I'll let you know. If you are interested, I'll ship it to you and let you try it in return for the helpful work you did on the resonator removal. How does that sound?

I feel like I'm selling/pitching the thing and I've never even tried it! lol

So, once again - I'll be sure to let you all know what I think of it.

I raced WKA for a few years, 5 hp briggs, KT100 Yamaha, 80CC shifter and then finally 125 shifters..

MAN was that fun!

You can't crack it open without damaging it. I wish I could find the thread at MBWorld. You have to cut it open with a dremel tool.

Shawn,

The install should take you about 15 minutes. It's pretty easy.

I do believe it (the Sprint Booster) does what it says and will make the Crossfire (actually any vehicle you compress 60% of throttle travel into 25% of pedal movement) seem a lot more peppy and responsive.

But if it doesn't "really" add to my cars performance, then I feel it's just a gimmick that I don't need. But I guess it is a easy way to get a little more fun out of your car without having to wrench.

Much rather spend my $$$ on an ODPS, upgrade the intercooler capacity, custom billet grill, do some painting etc...

From the perspective of someone who just drives his car and knows almost nothing about them, I like my SB.

I was very hesitant to buy one, but once I did, I didn't regret it.

In fact, I just reset my throttle about 2 hours ago and was (again) surprised at the response.

Imoho, the SB just adds to the fun factor.

Can you explain what you mean by "Resetting the throttle"? I've seen that several times now and not sure what/how that is done.
