Default srt6 prices still low...

Well, contrary to many reports of prices rising, a recent nation wide search found tons of SRT6s with low miles selling for under $24k. It looks as if the bar has been set. I'm guessing that due to the recent decline in prices, many consider this to be the value of the car. I don't think any dealer will be able to sell one for more than about $24k now that the low price cat has been let out of the bag. I don't really care. I enjoy the car and the fact that I got an AMG Mercedes for peanuts.

I can't argue with you there. I'm just getting worried about the IC problems some have talked about. I have done shadetree stuff and wonder if I do have an issue, the detailed instructions will be good enough. Hope I never have to find out.

Depending on the miles, I think that they've hit bottom, unless you are talking about one of the handful of Reduction cars that are still out there. I've seen dealers asking $28-$29,000 for SRT-6 coupes with under 500 miles. For an average mile car, we just picked up an Aero Blue Coupe with 19,500 miles on it. We're selling it Certified for $22,999.

Off the subject, but I think the pump failure is inevitable.

I bought mine saturday with 150 miles for $23,999 in greenville, tx after watching the price come down from around 29-30k over time... traded the srt-4 for it... they have several there for around 25, and I think a couple used around 22 maybe... it's crazy though considering that kbb lists the retail value at almost 32k, private party at 29k, and trade in at 27k.

Cwhirlison,

What color?

Are you from the DFW area?

We have a decent club forming around central TX (most of us in San Antonio)...if you are by chance from austin or closer to central TX, give us a shout!

Congrats on the purchase!

And to stay on topic - If they get much lower, I'll have to buy another one!

Hey, it's a graphite coupe. I live in Longview texas (east texas between dallas and shreveport, la) I hunt around central texas (goldthwaite) we have our own little clan of srt-4 owners (that's slowly diminishing) that I still hang out with. I've only seen one srt-6 (speak up if you're here) around town and it's a blue coupe. My screen name is the same on srtforums for anyone who was on there. anyway on topic yeah I can't believe how cheap they've gotten I've been watching them for over a year (well since the first srt track experience I went to 2 years ago) and they finally put one in my price range. So I'm excited I actually own the most fun car I've ever driven (including the viper)... anyway.. thanks for the welcome... holler if you guys are ever around my area. Later.

Ya got the best color!

I got mine at Bonham (same owners as Greenville). I paid $1K more, but oh well. I had 18 miles when I got it. I've got around 1500 now and plan to take it to the track soon. We'll see how it does. I've got a few 'mods' but nothing really for performance. I'd like to remove the resonator and possible do the renntech upgrade at some point. But, for now, it is a rocket as-is!

Congrats - if you are ever in San Antonio area, look us up.

Cwhirlison, I have an Blue SRT6 roadster in the Tyler / Lindale area. I have also see a blue roadster non-SRT running around Tyler.

well actually I bought mine at greenville chrysler but it was driven over from the bonham dealership... so same place!... yeah I was wondering about any exhaust mods for the car that would improve performance at all... that seems to be the easiest place to start... I knew everything I needed to know about my srt-4 engine but I know close to nothing about this engine so I'm not sure where to go with it...(if I modify it)... renntech would be awesome just out of my range right now. You're right it is EXCELLENT as is... I've driven a c6 corvette and it's not TOO far off... I've never driven anything that handles like it though

sweet.. do you come into longview? If so I'm wondering if I saw YOU... because I've only seen it once or twice here... I've seen some non-srt's though... maybe I'll catch ya sometime runnin around... later guys.

Hey that makes us 3 now in East Texas area! Maybe we can invite more Crossfires around the area and join the Rose Parade...lol!

I used to drive the '04 Blaze Red Limited with " XFIREX " plate which I'm now using on my Aero Blue SRT-6.

cwhirlison, you don't need to replace your $1,000+ AMG exhaust because it's the best there is in this car. You can buy a pulley and tune kit from Renntech or Evo for around $2,900 to $3,900.

FYI -
I am about 40 miles from Tyler in Athens. I have been to Tyler once so far with the car when I purchased my Advans S.4's.

I am hoping that prices have just about bottomed out. I don't think that you will see a big increase in prices anytime soon but with the low production numbers of the srt6 and the hit these cars have already taken it should level out. The '07 regular crossfires are already showing up on ebay at under 30k which probably doesn't help either.
