My SRT6 came with one key from a non-chrysler dealership so they paid for a second to be purchased for me. I've seen threads about programming keys but all I did was go to my local Chrysler dealership, give them the VIN, they verified I was the owner and ordered the key. When I picked it up today it was programmed and worked perfectly.

Can anyone tell me what the "programming key" threads are about?

I'm assuming that you're talking about the remote losing its memory. This will happen when the battery is replaced and can be done by inserting the key into the ignition and going through the steps in your owners manual.
