Forged internals...i'm assuming that with the blower it would have to but I did not see any spec sheets that list if it in fact does...anyone know? How about the standard X-fire as well...?

Yes, the SRT does have forged internals and I believe there is something different in the way of how oil is delivered to the rings or pistons. The regular Xfire's do not have forged internals.

Yes, it does.

I rebuilt my engine about a week ago. Took these pics of underneath. In the second pic you can clearly see the oil delivery tubes going to the cylinders. I thought it was pretty cool.

Hmmm... having problems uploading files on this site for some reason, here are the links to the pics.

Just wondering, what happened that you needed to rebuild your engine?

I was going to wait a month... and just take the heads off to get them shaved down for greater compression... but the project was kicked forward when a crank pulley installation went wrong and I needed to change the woodruff key. And in order to do that, I have to remove both upper and lower oil pans and the front chain cover... so I said screw it, while I'm in there I might as well do the heads and do everything. So I ordered cams and shaved the heads and changed all my seals and gears and gaskets. Unfortunately the cams never came through, and I grew impatient and put the thing back together. BUT I changed the bolts on the cam gears to make a 6+ hour cam installation only take 30 minutes when I do finally get to put them in. I cancelled my Schrick order and am going with something custom, so I'll be glad when I can do a quick cam swap on the fly without taking off the front cover.

Oooh, look at the pretty head.

I know that the AMG engine had a lower compression ratio to allow more boost. Sounds like you are going to be pushing the limits of that baby.
