Default My SRT/6 is leaking fluid!

Noticed in my garage a small spot this morning and decided to take a look. It looks like it's leaking from the tranny but I can't really tell. I called the dealer and they are going to get it in tomorrow but they said NO LOANER! I thought the srt/6 was guaranteed that if it ever broke?

I did take a few pics but it may still be hard to tell. Anyone have any guesses?

What color and consistency is the fluid?

Did you break into my garage last night and take those pictures? Mine started leaking this weekend too. Its red and definitely ATF. Funny, mine has the exact fluid trail as yours! Oh-ya, my cup holder broke yesterday evening too.

Glad you are getting a loaner. Chrysler deems the Crossfire a 'premium' vehicle thus granting you a loaner when your car is in service during your 3 year/36,000 mile warranty.
Good luck and keep us in the know.

I have same issue - mine is leaking around the transmission sensor - this is covered under TSB 21-002-05A dated 7 MAY '05 and is covered under warranty. You may want to call ahead and make sure they order the required repair parts thus minimizing the time your car sits at the dealer.

My cup holder also "broke" and I am getting the storage compartment replacement option.

I get free rental car - I would think you should to.

PS - don't let them know you been to the track. They will void your remaining warranty in 2 sec.

Both of mine had transmission leaks that were fixed under warranty. Loaner is given only if you are the original owner.

That is incorrect. About a week after purchasing my used SRT-6, I received a copy of the service contract directly from Chrysler in the mail. I also had a dealer pull up a VIP Summary report on the car, and it clearly shows that the car comes with it and is good for a free loaner for up to 5 business days for each warranty repair stay in the shop. I can scan it and post it if you like. If you still have your original 3 year/36,000 miles warranty, and your dealer has told you no loaner, then they either lied or were ignorant to the fact.

I received the same letter. As long as you have the 3/36 warranty w/the Crossfire, you get a loaner.

Right on...they gave me a new sebring until the SRT is fixed. I nearly drown in the sea of hard plastic!

No problem. I'll do it this evening and post in my gallery so it is easy to refer to.

I wasn't talking about us as owners being ignorant. I was referring to the stealership personnel. Sorry to offend.

A few weeks after I got my SRT6 it began to leak from this sensor as well, it was replaced under warranty at no charge.

No problems since the fix.

Make sure to scrub out all the wads of shredded rubber from the wheel wells. The dealers don't like that kind of that thing...

I appreciate the advice but the car was dropped off already. If they comment on the wads of rubber I'll tell them that maybe my traction control is acting up...

Here's the scan of the Chrysler Premium Care Loaner Car Service Contract that comes with all Crossfires. If you look closely, it states in bold type that it IS transferable to all owners as long as its still within the original 3/36 warranty. I put them in the Official Crossfire Pictures section of the gallery for easy reference.
