Default Byron Results

Well the bad news is no new best but I did trap nearly 113 on a 12.5 run.

Ran consistant 12.4-12.6 during all 11 runs. I was hotlapping the car for the first 8 runs! Traction was a HUGE issue today as it was low 30's at the track this morning. I ran 1.89-2.1 60ft. times all day and that was feathering the throttle from idle off the line! I strongly believe a 12.2 is possible with a good 60 ft. on this car with this setup!

I did videotape EVERY run today and will post them once I load them up shortly.

No ecu tune yet...this week i'm sending the ecu to inmotion. The track closes after next weekend so hopefully I can hit 11's with the new tune.

I'm anxious to see how your car does with that tune.

12.5's are respectable, especially with consistency.

What's next after the tune?

Differential? Wheels/Tires? Upgraded intercooler/heat exchanger?

After the tune the only thing I would consider is getting a set of drag radials on there. I made a mistake today by going to the track with LESS than a 1/4 tank which I think hurt traction a little bit. Next week I plan on having at least half a tank with the new tune.

Some fast mph's good job. I can't wait to see how fast your car is after the InMotion Tune. I was very happy with my results. I know your car can hit the 11's with the tune and DR's.

As far as drag radials, I have seen several online shops that sell reman or knock off OEM wheels pretty darn cheap. I'm thinking that I will get a set of Mercedes 17" x 8.5" wheels and put some BFG or Nitto DRs on those. Should be able to do it for less than $900 easily. Maybe $800 if you find a deal.

i think the differential would be of such great help... even a basic one like phantom grip... at least with this much power a 500$ differential just feels like it should be there...

Ah.. man can't wait to start doing engine mods as well...

Not sure if it is possible or not...but I DID see a mustang with Crossfire wheels on it. How? Not sure...but it had them.

I was thinking about mounting my 17" DR's off of my Mustang and seeing if they'll fit. EVERYTHING is cheaper for mustangs, even wheels. You could easily find a set of used ones if they'll fit. I know the rear XF wheels on the mustangs looked WAY too tucked, which would mean the mustang wheel will probably have more offset and stick out too far on the XF.

Mustangs use a 5x114.3 bolt pattern... we have 5x112. So, they won't work without special spacers to convert bolt pattern.

My bad... I forgot that I was searching for some wheel offset info when I read that post. Didn't even think about it... Thanks!
