Like the movie "Gone in 60 Seconds" - My Christmas bonus went *poof* today on:

1) 185mm Crank Pulley - The big one (Boost to 22 PSI)

2) Complete SL55 Intake system

3) Boost, Oil pressure & Oil Temp gauge unit, plus Intake Air Temp sending unit.

If shipping goes as planned I will have a busy Thanksgiving weekend.

Still have money left for ECU tune and some headers - just need to hunt harder.

Are we having fun yet or what??

The fun does not begin until AFTER you install those items!

Which Air Intake Temp unit did you end up going with?

Also why didn't you go with the Needswings intake??

I am just purchasing an air temp sending unit and plan to make it work with the current outside temp display on the dash. I will pillar mount the other three.

The complete SL55 AMG V8 air box system (new) is less then half the price of the Needswings design, allows me to retain the "stock" look and engine cover, is much larger then our current intake and though the performance may not be quite as good as Needswings, it is still a huge improvement and plenty of 3.2L AMG folks rave about it. I have no plans to race or track my SRT except possibly to baseline the mods on a 1/4 mile.

I am willing to toss the dirty filters (BTW - comes with two greens) and buy new replacements. I guess I am just old school - If I can see the dirty filter I will change the dirty filter.

I only wash and reuse the Air Filter on my KLX650 Dual Sport but its a foam filter.
