SRT6 Must Do Mod List
SRT6 owner since May. XFire owner since Feb2004. SRT a big difference for the better. I need to 'correct' some things as it appears most everyone here has done. Reading the multitude of threads with all the different ideas, suggesstions, modifications, I want to ask if there is or can there be a simple list of must do's? Is there a list of what really works and what does not? I haven't been able to find one.
Sprint Booster - Must Do
ECU - ?
Pulleys - ?
Exhaust Re Do - ?
Air Intake - ?
Brakes - ?
Hyper Voltage - ?
Anything to add to list - I want to build on it including who out there is doing the mods, where, how much, contact info, etc.
Andrew - this is what I wanted to ask you the other day - thanks. I'll be sending you payment this week for the emblems too.

Sprint Booster - Save your Money - no performance gaines for $300 cost
ECU - 3rd MOD - ECU Tune is a must when other modes are complete
Pulleys - 2nd MOD - ASP @ 14% or LET @ 16 %
Exhaust Re Do - Resonator Removal - unless you got $$$ to burn
Air Intake - 1st MOD - SL55 setup $ - BDJ setup $$ - Needswing setup $$$
Brakes - PADS = Rotex Gold Pads (dustless) or Porterfield (Racing) - Stainless Steel Brake lines = Goodrich - Brake Fluid = ATE Super Blue
Hyper Voltage - ? ?????

Hey Brian, do you really think the Koni shocks/struts are necessary? Isn't the suspension on our SRT's stiff enough? Just curious. I don't have them, so I don't know what you were going for when you got yours.

I just mentioned the Koni's if you are planning to do some serious racing - and you have bundles of cash.....
I'm still waiting on delivery of the overdrive pulley (20%) and Iridium Plugs. Then I will get my ECU dyno tuned.
I already did the brakes (pads/SS lines/rotors/fluid) the SL55 intake upgrade and resonator removal.
Next mod on my list will be the larger HE - surge tank seperation - johnson pump
After that an IAT sensor resistor mod......

So far so good - thanks for replies. I did install the Sprint Booster and am still happy with results. It eliminated the hesitation between 1st, 2nd and 3rd....
What about engine oil - Mobil 1, Royal Purple??
Does anyone remember the link\thread to the SL55 intake?
I also found the thread SRT6 started on 11.13.07 - How to Build a Fast Crossfire - very cool. Thanks.

I keep reading about this "sprint booster" all over the forum and I have no clue what it actually is and/or does. I even tried the wonderful "search" button and could only find the the name mentioned over and over with no definitions or pictures of the product. What the hell is it????

Some members love it - some don't.
The sprint booster plugs in at the gas pedal, Since our cars are drive by wire, it increases the voltage when you touch the gas. It make for a very touchy pedal. It will not add any performance, just make you think it's peppier than it was before.
Maybe someone else can give a better decription.
Save your money and get an intake. I recommend BDJ's intake.

Normally, I would be very against the idea of the Sprint Booster. All it is, is a little gizmo that plugs in between your gas pedal and the ECU. It "lies" to the ECU and tells it that you're pressing the gas pedal harder/further/faster.
I know that sounds ridiculous. After all, I can press the pedal harder/further/faster myself. The place where it comes in handy with Crossfires is that it eliminates the throttle lag that our cars experience. If the throttle lag (which also makes the auto transmission seem to shift slower) doesn't bother you, then do not waste your money on a Sprint Booster.
If the throttle lag or shift lag does bother you, the Spring Booster is an easy do-it-yourself answer. It costs $300 retail, but there's a group buy going on for $240. But I think today is the last day to get in on it. Here's the thread:

If you have $300 bucks you don't need, get one! Your throttle response will be better. After installing it, the lady of the house was wondering what I did to our car, that made more aggresive? So if she noticed, it must be doing its job......

Conclusions
The Sprint Booster is a simple amplifier that multiplies the accelerator pedal
sensor signal, making the accelerator pedal more sensitive. It does not eliminate
any significant delay in throttle response, nor does it greatly improve acceleration
figures. It does not change the adaptive throttle control programming of
electronic throttle control vehicles. It does change pedal “feel”. This change in
feel is interpreted by some as improved throttle response, acceleration, and a
change in adaptive throttle control programming. Considering what it actually

If you are going to do pulleys...don't do the sprint booster...wait because when the ecu is redone for the pulleys you won't need the SB.
If you are non-SRT by all means you need the SB.
So with no ECU redone get the sb,if you do the ECU, SB waist of money.

Soooo; basically people throwing away $300 because they are too light footed to push the gas pedal down hard/fast enough? Why not just buy $20 worth of lead weights and tape them to your right shoe while driving?
I know what you mean Moparbust. I'm VERY skeptical myself. But I decided to buy one because everyone say it will eliminate the throttle lag / shift lag that really pisses me off. I'll let you know what I think in the spring when I can put it on.
I am interested to know if anyone else can corroborate what RIOT said about the ECU mapping also remapping the throttle. Looking down the road, I will probably do the ECU tune. But I suppose I can sell my SprintBooster when I do.

OK, if you have the $2000+ to do the pulley, intake, and tune, don't buy the sprint booster. But if you don't have 2G's and the throttle response is getting on your last nerve and you have $240 or $300 ,(whatever they are going for now) buy it. Trust me when I say you won't be dissapointed.
