Brake caliper leaking
Looks like I get my turn on waiting for parts. I took my baby into the local dealership because I had noticed what looked like brake fluid on the RR rotor. Took it in on Wednesday, had to argue about the first day car loaner but won. I called Thursday and they told me that the caliper was leaking and they had a new one on order. The best answer they could give me was it should be here sometime next week. Why do I get the feeling it could be a long wait? They pulled a new Nitro off the lot to let me drive as a loaner, this thing is like driving a school bus. I gave it to my wife to drive since she drives about 100 miles a day round trip.
Has anyone ever had a problem with their calipers leaking? I don't recall reading a thread on it in the last 7-8 months that I have been a member. I will try a search and see what I come up with.
Wish me luck on getting the caliper in, I think I may need all the help I can get.

So your dealer is ordering a new caliper - did the dealer try changing the piston seals first? It's possible that your caliper is defective but it's far more likely it's a seal that's defective. Or considering how competent some of these dealers are, maybe it's the brake line that's leaking.
I agree, and thought that they would have just repaired it. I am guessing that a o-ring just went bad since the car has 2800 miles before it started to leak.
Replacing calipers is a fairly simple process that requires some specialty tools on some cars. These instructions are merely a guide and not a substitute for professional assistance.
