Unhappy Seasonal Affective Disorder

Wow, I had heard of Seasonal Affective Disorder before, but hadn't experienced it until I put my Crossfire away for the winter.

March 16th can't come fast enough. I miss my car!

March 16th is when my car gets unzipped and is back on the road.

I just can't ever consider my car to be in storage. I don't ever drive it when the roads are wet in the winter but if the snow has melted or is throughly frozen and the roads are dry I take the car out for a drive to warm it up and then bring it back to my heated garage and give it a quick detail.
Let's hope that we don't have a freak snowstorm on March 16th

PS .....I LOVE THE CALENDARS !!!

Aw, man, I would love to move south. I really enjoyed the Augusta, GA area and Tampa/Clearwater FL area. But, alas, I have a good job where I'm at, and this is where all my friends and family live. So I guess I'm stuck, until I can convince them all to make a mass exodus!

Hey Tom,

"Come on Down", to the Dragon Meet April 4,5 & 6, That will Cure any XFire
'S.A.D.'!

March 16th gives you almost three weeks to get back into the Groove before the Meet.

I couldn't stand to put that many miles on my car. Too far.

I live in Ohio and drove my Crossfire today through the snow and slush. No point in having a car you can't enjoy... and it's my daily driver. My '71 Challenger is the no-snow car.

It's approx 250 miles to the Dragon Weekend Meet in April for you. (You'd be one of the Closest to come out of 40+Drivers from 16+ States. )
For one of the Most Awesome XFire Rides in the USA, ask anyone that has attended, or been to the Dragon's Den.

Hey Bill, I've been kicking it around since November when you guys mentioned a spring meet. It's a 10 hour drive for me. Ugh! But I see guys on the list from NY and from TX!! Crikey, that's a long drive for those folks.

Is it _really_ worth it? Hmmmm... I'll have to check my vacation balance and my checkbook closer to April.

It is 11 hours for me from Chicago and from everything I see from last fall it is definitely worth it. Probably the best Crossfire driving experience ever.
I will be newly employed so a couple days off might be like pulling teeth.
It sucks to not be retired and have the freedom to go wherever whenever.

Hey Tom,

*Check with the Driver's on this years list that were there last year, most of them, they will most likely say it was one of, if Not, the Best Driving Experiences of their Life, I heard that many times from many of them. (& most of them are not youngins ).

Here's the Plan just for you: (602 mi – about 9 hours 59 mins, or less in an XFire )
Leave Sharon, PA Early(<6AM) Friday 4/4 arrive at the GTG before 4PM,
you'll already have driven the Dragon coming in so you can pass on the Fri
Dragon Run for the Early Birds.

Stay at the Gorgeous Lodge at 25% off, $74+ a nite for Fri & Sat, Do all the events on Fri / Sat

Sun 4/6 Do the AM Events & Leave from the other side of the Dragon, like others have & be home by 9PM.
(or Stay All day Sunday & Night at Lodge & go home on Monday like some have done or will do this year.)

That's "My Plan for You & I'm sticking to it!"

My Best,
Bill (SF)
Bill

Well today was a high temp of -2 degrees therefore the roads were dry and any wet spot or puddle was frozen solid.
The sun was shining bright and it was frickin cold out. A good time for some Crossfire withdrawal therapy.
So I fired it up and pulled out of my heated garage and let it warm up in the driveway.
Then after about 10 minutes went out for a highway drive for about an hour. My outside temp gage in the car reached zero "0" but never displayed -2 as the temp was said to be on another thermometer on the house.
Does the Crossfire display negative outside temp readings ??
It sure was nice to be out doing 100 mph while it was below zero outside.
