Definitely some good reading!! Thanks Although I think the guy that raced the Honda probably had a faulty IC pump or he wasn't racing. hahaha.

I think it was like 5 times, but don't remember. Something was up with his car, because usually it's a very close race. The first meeting is on video in the racing forum here, i think its the 12.9 thread. If you hit the srtconnection and go to racing, you will see a thread on the best race ever. I went heads up with a SRT8 Charger. This guy pulled out the 6.1 hemi and put in a worked 426 motor. He's pushing near 500hp. We ran twice and I posted both slip information over on there site. I lost first to him barely by .015 of a second and the second race I pulled away. We should have went for the tie breaker but the track was closing. So unfortunately it's no secret how fast the SRT6 can go. Still have my stock resonator and all, so only noise they hear is the supercharger. We have much cred on both sites. Now if they were talking about a CLS55 Amg then that's a completely different stories. Those are in the 11's all day long. I tell all the kids at the track, race here not on the street. It's tempting and I'm no hypocrite, I love to do it, but now get my jollies at the track. There were 3 racing accidents in the Phoenix area just last month alone. 2 innocent people died and the drivers are facing manslaughter. Two of the times it was because a car turned in front of the racers and were T-boned. Still guilty of racing. So if you can't do the time, don't do the crime.
I take it, you go to Firebird or PRP out on Jomax road?

Do you have vids of those races? Sounds exciting!

Yep PRP is called speedworld now. Way back in the day it was called Marilarson's. Not sure how long ago you lived here, but that track has history. I'm sure it was around before Firebird. Last night the re-run of PINKS was at speedworld, it's the episode where the red bug wrecks just before the 1/4 mile. I don't have vid of the second round with the CLS63 AMG or the Charger. The CLS guy tracked me down here and posted the vid of us in round one that he got. That was just with the intake. He was barely catching me. The second round I added pulleys, and dr's. He couldn't catch me in Round 2. He's getting ready for Rd 3, he is on a new ecu tune from VRP, so he wants revenge. When's he's on and my car is on, it will be a good heads up. He dyno at 489rwhp, but it's a big car. Here's the link to that thread we basically hijacked.

I was born and raised there. I lived there until I was 19 and left for the military. I used to go to "PRP" when I was 3 years old. There used to be nothing out there except a sand drag strip and the strip. I continued going just about every other weekend until I left. It is really nice to see how far that track has come. I used to take my '65 Chevelle out there that I've had since I was 15. I still have it!

Good times by the way!

Seing these types of threads "kill stories" always makes me think of "kill marks" that are put onto the noses of fighters and bombers.

Instead of the Rising Sun, it might be fun to have various car manufacturers logo's on the front fender representing the "kills" that you and your car have made.

Just a thought

Here is a video of an SRT killing an STi. Good video except for the stupid comment at the end.

The guys making the commentary on the video sound like a couple of morons.

Any here driving the SRT?

Some are entertaining to read (though many are old). If anyone finds any more, post them here. Guess people could post cars they've 'killed' as well. Whatever floats your boat.

Very Nice. Yep I was born and raised in Surprise. So way back as a kid my dad used to race on Reems Rd., I have been going out to speedworld all my life as well. No more sand drags, but they have expanded. Now they have a motorcross track (adult and youth), Dirt Modified track, BMX track, RC Truck track, RC Airplane strip. I might have missed something. The drag strip was the NHRA Track of the Year. Firebird still has a full concrete launch pad, and is better for higher power cars. Isn't as accessible as speedworld. It's a good time to come home. My buddy was in the air force all over the world and finally got his last assignment at Luke AFB, says this is his last stop and happy to be home. Take care.

That's cool that the NHRA holds events there. That track used to only be IHRA certified! I've got about 8 years left, we'll see where it takes me.

Cheers!

G35 Sports Coupe.. Twice.. I gave him a 4 & 3 car lead both times.
He was not happy.. Said a couple of nasty things to me at the
light after I took him the second time, then he took a right on red from middle lane.
Sore loser!!!!

Here's a good one. I think this guy is FOS. 'Course, half of them don't know what a SRT6 is.

Thanks for the links RPM - those Mustang guys are so FOS it is almost unbelievable. I like my Fords but I am a huge V6 fan and the SRT is a pretty impressive ride. I have a soft spot for the german and english Capri's and the RS500 cosworths - my all time favourites - tangs , common as muck old school boat anchors . My uncle has a real clean '72 454 vette with matching numbers, all factory options, the works - NIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIICE . We have a lot of fun cruising with the tops off

Took a C5 yseterday.....in the SNOW!

That traction light was on from the menards til I passed the Target on Route 59.
He was sideways in my rearview mirror....then I had to laugh I watched the local patrol going the other way and I saw there brake lights come on as they saw him sideways behind me....don't know if they came back I just went straight home....3 trys in reverse up the driveway and closed the door

yea. I agree on the 350z. He had to be seriously modded to even think about putting 4 to 5 car lengths on an srt. i dont even have the supercharger (something I kill myslef for every day), and i know that story is a little bs

I absolutely destroyed a 5.7 GTO on Route 66 from Tulsa to Oklahoma City. I had the windows down and a passenger. I pulled away hard after he romped on it from 50-100MPH.

I had to let off when, at 100MPH or so, the wind started to make my cargo cover flap violently!
