Default SRT6 'Kill Stories'

So I was perusing the net and ran across some various forum threads about 'killing' (or close to that) SRT6s.
Some are entertaining to read (though many are old). If anyone finds any more, post them here. Guess people could post cars they've 'killed' as well. Whatever floats your boat.

Interesting reads. It was interesting how many of there own members defended our cars.

IMHO, Crossfire owners don't race. Not worth the risk of a traffic citation or wrecking your car or killing yourself or someone else.

Great post RPM, it's always nice to feel the "love" that's out there for the SRT.
I'm lucky, because so far I've been able to "intimidate" my way out of nearly every stop light show down I've come across, simply because nobody has a clue what I'm running. One guy even asked me if I had the new "larger" supercharger.
But you guys with the SRT's are on the front lines every single day, and as we all know, it's a jungle out there. Keep up the good work.

Really enjoyed reading through all of those. I'm not one for breaking the law as often as some, but I have had my share of encounters on the streets of Atlanta. I've either outrun badly or outrun comfortably everything I've gone against with only two exceptions. A late model M5 which was a total beast and a heavily and I mean heavily modded GTO. Both of those cars just ate me alive. The M5, well obviously we all know why... And the GTO, I think it must have had a HUGE turbo system as all I heard as he obliterated me was a VERY audible blowoff valve. Cool experiences either way.

Read the kill stories and some were just plain painful - in regards to grammar, punctuation, etc. The posters on the BMW and MB foruims come across as being educated but the others just screamed "I'm a product of the public education system!".

Nitpicking aside, I don't know weather to laugh or cry over the comments made on the ls1 forum concerning if the SRT-6 ever went into production or not. The post was not even a year old which means the SRT-6 was being sold 2 1/2 years before the post was made.

And of course right after I post about the lack of writing skills of others I notice that I spelled "weather" intstead of "whether". But in my defense I was educated in public schools.

Those were fun! I'm actually shocked at how many people out there don't really want to mess with the SRT6. It looks as if it has quite the street cred. Not too many people want or can talk smack about the car.

Kill: 2007 911 Cabriolet. The guy was really shocked and embarrassed.

I wonder how much driving skill has to do with these "kills."

With an automatic, there is no skill involved. A monkey can make it go fast.

well so far i have not been "killed" yet. don't think i've even been wounded yet. nope not even a scratch from battle. the only car that even gave me a run was a charger srt with mods.

I don't kill on the street, but at the track heads up or bracket racing I've gotten my fair share. It does come down to drivers. I've gotten vipers, vettes, mustangs, you name it. My buddy and I on mbworld with the cls63 have a good time racing each other. He's the fastest on dragtimes with a 12.30. First round he beat me 3 straight, 2nd round I got em all 3 races. I think it was like 5 times, but don't remember. Something was up with his car, because usually it's a very close race. The first meeting is on video in the racing forum here, i think its the 12.9 thread. If you hit the srtconnection and go to racing, you will see a thread on the best race ever. I went heads up with a SRT8 Charger. This guy pulled out the 6.1 hemi and put in a worked 426 motor. He's pushing near 500hp. We ran twice and I posted both slip information over on there site. I lost first to him barely by .015 of a second and the second race I pulled away. We should have went for the tie breaker but the track was closing. So unfortunately it's no secret how fast the SRT6 can go. Still have my stock resonator and all, so only noise they hear is the supercharger. We have much cred on both sites. Now if they were talking about a CLS55 Amg then that's a completely different stories. Those are in the 11's all day long. I tell all the kids at the track, race here not on the street. It's tempting and I'm no hypocrite, I love to do it, but now get my jollies at the track. There were 3 racing accidents in the Phoenix area just last month alone. 2 innocent people died and the drivers are facing manslaughter. Two of the times it was because a car turned in front of the racers and were T-boned. Still guilty of racing. So if you can't do the time, don't do the crime.

Very insterestiing.

i dunno about the 350z story though. the 350z with the 6 speed runs like high 5s 0-60, and mid 14s 1/4 mile.

sounds like bs to me, unless he was modded

I think the Z was running twin-turbos. SRT6 had no chance against that.
