Default Warranty Issues

Has anyone had any problems redeeming a warranty on their cars after installing mods , such as new pulleys, a new intake, the sprint booster, ect?

The dealer I take my SRT to has only one Crossfire/Sprinter mechanic. (And he's good)

The service advisor, the mechanic and me had a long discussion about mods when my SRT was in to replace the #2 fuel injector. If I don't try to hide my mods, then their good with it. If my mod is the cause of the problem, then it's my issue to deal with. Which is by the way, is the law.

I was told, for example, If my SC grenades not to show up with the big pulley installed and all will be good. If warranty repairs require that my ECU to be re-flashed - then that's what they will do and it's up to me to "re-flash" back to the SI parameters.

When I install the Johnson IC pump and HE and one of these fails - I know it's my issue to deal with and won't even take the SRT to the dealer.

They had no issue with the SL55 intake, resonator delete, SS brake lines etc.. Knowing this, I may now purchase the extended warranty.

I don't have a SB but that's easy to remove.

It's really up to you and your relationship with your dealers service dept.

Hope this helps.

Thanks that does help. Sounds like the best thing to do is to talk to my dealer's service rep and see what he says. Thanks again. If anyone else has any info on this topic I'd appeciate the input also.
