2 SRT6 for Sale in Enfield, CT
Enfield Chrysler has 2 SRT6's for sale on their lot. A Graphite one with 19,000 miles for $21,900 and an Aero Blue with 24,000 miles for $19.000. Both look great! They have been
there for most of the winter. Anyone who wants more info can contact them at
860-745-0361. Speak with Bill Whiteley. This is the same place I bought my 2004 limited in
2005, before trading it in for my SRT6.

That's not just a Crossfire issue. Unless they're fattening the new car purchase price, dealer trade is going to be Galves which is what a guy who sells his cars at wholesale will pay to still make money off the deal. 95% of trades go to these wholesalers within a few days. With the softness in new car sales, it's only gotten worse. Galves is 10-25% below what most free web-sites quote as the base wholesale. If your car is in good shape, Edmunds TMV trade for FAIR condition seems to come pretty close.
Book residuals @ 3 years for most cars, which lines up better to private resale, are 45% - 55% of original base MSRP. Leftovers still depreciate based upon the model year, so a 3 model year old new car will value out like any other used car with a +5% - 8% adjustment for low mileage and transferable warranty. A general rule of thumb is that if you're going to keep it less than 5 years, go for the newest model year rather than the leftover route. Even with incentives, the additional depreciation on the leftover will typically cost you more.
$19k for an SRT-6 coupe with 24k miles sounds pretty good if there's no prior collision repair and some warranty remaining. I paid $22,500 last month for a west coast SRT-6 convertible with similar mileage and 11 months of warranty to go, but it cost me another $900 to ship it East. The silver lining of picking one up with that mileage is that someone else probably dealt with most of the warranty headaches. You know it's been driveable as opposed to being laid up in the shop with some undiagnosable gremlin. Plus cars really do benefit from being used once a week.

It's a great time to buy Crossfires, unless you're a speculator. I picked up #2 in December with 8200 miles for $21k. The dealer was asking $23k. In retrospect, I probably could have got it for 1000 less but I was only in Chicago for the weekend and did not want to have to return and negotiate. It was the year and color I wanted, too.
