Uh Bikecop, I think we are going to get are a$$es handed to us by these E55's. I really didn't know what kind of HP the E55 put out, so I done a little looking. A 2005 E55 is rated at 469 HP stock, witch might be a close race with a modded SRT 6 with the weight difference. But a modded E55, that might be a different story. I just watched a video of an E55 with a stage 1 RENNtech upgrade and he done an 11.666 @ 120.410. I'm pretty sure if these E55 guy's do some drag racing, they will most likely have a few mod's. But an 11.666 shouldn't be a real bad spanking for us, but it's still loosing .

That's ok, at least we would not be loosing to a stupid ricer or anything. And besides after lunch it's bracket racing so anything can happen. You may have miss your calling and win the whole thing.

Do you know if there is going to be fuel (93 or 94 Octane) there for us if we want it? Just wondering about how much gas I want in the tank (probably 1/2 tank) and bring some if it's not avaliable there. I figure it will be best to try to keep the tank between 1/3 to 1/2 full to help with making consistant runs.

I pretty sure they have unleaded race fuels there but they will cost you. I would bring your own 93, about 5 gal. and have about 1/2 tank to start off with. I am trying it again this friday night at US 41. It looks good, the rain will be out of the area by late morning. The night drags start at 6pm to 10pm, you know I am going crazy wanting to test & tune before the 12th.

Thanks for the advice, I figured 1/2 tank would be a good place to start and try to keep it close to that for the day. I'll bring 5 gal. of Sunoco 94, that's what I've always ran in mine. I wish I had one of those smaller S/C pulley's that's been posted for a month that nobodies got, to run for the day. But just for that day, I'm a little conserned about the reliability of that thing. I still say if it was wise to do so, the bigger name companies would have had it on the market years ago.

ChicagoX, I just sent you a PM with a couple questions, but I thought you may want to reply here too for those that do not have strong tie's to the MB World. Basiclly giving us a run down on how things are going to play out throughout the day, the only thing I've read on the MB site was about the bracket racing in the afternoon. Here is the PM I sent, (copied & pasted).

Hey ChicagoX, I've read through the MB World and the only thing I've read is that there would be bracket racing in the afternoon, but nothing said about the morning events. I was wondering if you could answer a couple questions for me. I'm guessing the morning will be test & tune, will it be okay to make a few runs on my street tire's then switch over to a pair of Hoosier DR's to see what kind of difference they make? And the main question is, my wife is coming with me and she will really be pissed if she don't get to make a couple runs down the track before the bracket racing starts. Will she get to make some runs in my car? Or someone else's .
Thanks, Steve

Steve, if she can race, she can drive mine and race you. That would make a nice video.

Yeah, and if she beat me I'd never here the end of it . I'd like to see the guy that has that E63 let her get into that for a run down the track . I seen a commercial on TV this weekend of the new E63 = 451 HP, if I recall correctly. Man if I could swing it after the SRT is paid off I'd sure like to have one of those, but I'm sure they would be out of my price range. When we bought the old Mustang we were planning to let her race it at the local 1/8th, but being a 4 speed she probably wouldn't be very consistant. Plus when you bust that old beast out of the hole you've got a hand full trying to keep it straight.

OT: The C63 is rated at 451, the E63 at over 500.

Very minor differences between the two. Just like with the E55s....they rated them at 469 instead of 493 in the other, more expensive platforms.
The 55k motors all dyno pretty much the same.

Back on Topic:

You can start making passes at 9am. Feel free to try out any tire combo you would like. Keep in mind that they will be prepping the track out to the 330' mark, and anything in a Drag Radial or stickier will really benefit from the VHT.

I plan on getting there at 8-8:30am, swapping out my streets for DRs and making as many passes as I can. I do not mind if you switch drivers/cars/underwear throughout the day....that's the advantage of a track rental versus a Test&Tune day.

Last time, one of our attendees walked out of there with over 40 slips.

I forgot.....isn't posting a PM a violation of the Terms Of Service of this board and a bannable offense?

Just busting them a bit...

I was thinking about starting the Bracket Race around 2pm. A single elimination should take just over an hour or so, leaving time for a few more passes and the awards ceremony before they shut down the track at 5.

Wow 40 slips, I didn't know that there would be that many women there. How did he do on panty hose and other under garments?

[EDIT] That was bad after thinking about it. I gotta quit holding in my farts, they creep up my spine to my brain and gives me a $hitty sence of humor

Are you asking us to move the date or pick a date if we get rained out?

K.

I'm looking for your input on a rain date in case it gets postponed due to weather.

The call will be made by the track official tomorrow night (Thursday night)
