Allright everyone meets at my house on the 18th besides Jerry and we pick Jerry up and go to Ottawa.
I will be the designated driver as I have surgery at 8 a.m. that day so I will drive all of us to the strip club and back....talked to the wife and our three guest rooms are available for this....jerry I can drop you off at home!

Now I have to go find a board game to take over to a going away party across the street thats nothing but ladies.....SEEYA!
At least thats what they called for that and 4 more bottles out of the wine fridge!

Possibly,possibly. The last time I was out at the slipper was the last Ottawa boat race I was at, we got kicked out that night but not permanently, my one buddy got kicked out twice that day. So maybe, but I wont get us kicked out, if we're going to be with those high class Mercedes fellas I'll be on my best behavior.

It wasn't the last race, it was the last race I was at out there, which was like the 3rd to the last race. I was working on I think 5 boats that weekend, I had my hands full. But I have seen you race at the Island and I think I remember seeing you at that last Ottawa race I was at. I hang with the jetboat guys mainly, so you probably wouldn't recognize me. I'll shoot you a Pm.

Naw, I haven't seen Jeff for awhile but I don't think you'd get him into a Crossfire he's to into his Pontiac.

 

Damn glad ta here from ya buddy....Haven't seen olJeff in awhille....infact last I seen him he was beat up from flippin his Razr. That fast Quad of his.
Broke ribs,eye socket collar bone...and alot of bruises....
I am gonna call him this weekend now that I mention it.

I posted the weather report in another tread, I like the 70% chance of racing better. Your DA is a forecasted 1700-1800', which is still great. Good luck and be safe getting there and going home. Leave it on the track. Someone has got to bring an old trophy for the quickest car. Please post a pic or video of the quickest srt and c32 side by side pass.

 

Sooo Wayne, when will the call be made on to run or reschedule again? I can't speak for anybody else, but if there is a pretty good chance we'll be rained on and not able to run, I'd rather see a reschedule. As bad as I want to get up there & get my drag strip cherry popped, I live way south in Indiana and really don't want to make the trip just to get rained out. It's close to a 400 mile round trip for me and I'll be trailering my car up, with gas prices the way they are it's going to cost me more in gas to get there and back than the event fee . If it's going to happen, I'll probably head that way Friday around 5:00 pm and stay at Lafayette that night so I don't have to be on the road by 4:00 am Saturday morning.

Weather dot com shows an 80% chance of racing, so we're looking better.

The call will be made Thursday evening to run or not. If it rains on Friday, we can't race anyway.

I can give a rain date at that time. Hopefully, that won't be needed.

 

Well it's almost 9:00 pm, I've had the Crossfire Fourm & MB World up on the computer since I got home from work and have been checking both every half hour. I've not seen up date as to if we are still on for US 41 Saturday, so I'm guessing no news is good news .

 

Well it's sunny and clear here in Chicagoland this Friday morning prior to track day.
Forecast for tomorrow at the track:
Windy. Partly cloudy skies early followed by a few showers in the afternoon. High 71F. Winds WNW at 20 to 30 mph. Chance of rain 30%.

SO ARE WE A GO ?
I assume since nothing was announced yesterday we are set to race.
