SO ARE WE A GO ?
I assume since nothing was announced yesterday we are set to race.
I hope it's a GO since we have not heard anything, I'm getting ready to leave work early to go home & load up the car on the car hauler. And pack for a nights stay at Lafayette, I tried to call ChicagoX, but it went straight to his voice mail. I guess I'll keep checking the fourm in between loading everything up and packing . If it's cancelled after I hit the road I will have wasted $95 on a motel room & over $100 in gas.

[EDIT] Got hold if ChicagoX @ about 11:00am & he said it's a GO.

His fastest was a 12.51@111 to my 12.62@110.55. Riot (Let pulley, tune & H E) and I only ran once. His 12.6360@109.20 to my 12.6881@110.23(Code 3 pulley & HE and Inmotion tune) If it was not so hot we all would have had some much better times.
30 runs is insane especially in warmer weather. When it turns 90 around here I'll be lucky to run 12's again when I get my ASP pulley set on.

WOW What a great day !!! 75 and Sunny - Great racing weather !!!
Thanks to Wayne,Let MotorSports,Chicago Performance and Tuning and of course US 41 DragStrip!
Me , Steve Hellums , Bikecop (Eric) and Riot (Kirk) along with a bunch of guys with some kick **** modded Mercedes did some serious racing today.
To make it even more fun there were a couple of BMW's and a Mustang too.
It was my first time on a track. I have a 04 na Crossfire.
I ran first with the OEM air intake and my best time out of my first 11 runs was 14.9252
Then I put on my Needswings CAI and my best time out of another 11 runs was 14.7898.
I did a total of 22 runs and the car ran great.
Steve and Bikecop got a lot of runs in together and Riot ran quite a few too.
We had the track to ourselves and we were guests of ChicagoX from the Mercedes forum.
LET has done some mods on Kirk's SRT6 and his car ran well.
I think he got a 12.1 time in one of his runs.
Here is a link to all the pics today and I will be getting a lot of mpeg video files on you tube and will post those soon.

Man, I am jealous! That sounds like a sweet day. I was just at the track Friday night, but would have loved to run with some Crossfires (and Merc cousins). Around these parts is all I see at the track are the big three (GM, Ford, Mopar). So far, I've only seen 1 Japanese (Nissan 350z), and 1 german (VW Jetta Deisel!). Makes me wish I would have driven up to Chicago.

Don't forget to post your best slips to DragTimes.com. I wanna see them!

One of them said leaves on the track messed up some runs. This had to be one or with that 60' he'd be in the 11's easy. I had a run like this when I first installed my asp pulley. I have the slip and all showing I ran a 12.06. I knew it was bogus but sure had me smiling, the numbers didn't add up and I couldn't back it up with anything even remotely close.
